AMD launches 65nm chips *Review Added*

Hope these do better than those 4x4 QuadFX processors.

AMD chips made on the 65-nanometre (nm) process will consume about 30 percent less energy than the same
 chips produced on the 90nm process when running at the same speed. In the first chips shipped on this process,
virtually all of the benefit comes in reduced power consumption, said Nick Kepler, vice president of logic technology
development at AMD.

Looks like AMD's dual cores aint dead yet

And with some careful buying you will get the 35W versions as well.... that should be alot better for the OC crowd. This is good in that it will allow AMD to transition their quad cores succesfully and we'll get better performance per watt.

hmm, better late than never mentality aye
well, when the liquid nitrogen crew gets their hands on these, we will see how it compares (not surpass but compares) to conroe.

here is one of the first reviews i've found. no performance gains really.....just less power consumption and more efficiency.
