Personally, I'd much rather wait for the later batches to come out.

True, the excitement does get to you, but where's the sense in all of this "I WANNA BE THE FIRST TO HAVE ONE LOL LOL LOL"? I mean, when you consider the fact that there aren't really much decent titles for it as yet, as well as the fact that some problem always comes up with the first off of the assembly line (PSP, PS2, I'm looking at you....), I think it makes more sense to wait a while before getting a PS3. And look at that price. Jesus. For those of you wondering how much one costs down here, do what I did yesterday, but fair warning, you might either pass out or get a minor heart attack.


1) Walk into Consort Mall, and look for Sheltech Games.
2) Stare with googly eyes in disbelief at the fact that they have a PS3.
3) Quickly run inside, knocking all old people/childrens aside so that you reach the counter. Hey, it's your right.
4) Ask price.
5) Place hands over head, make eyes as wide as possible, and go "F-F-FIFTEEN THOUSA-!?!"
6) Call paramedics. Chances are, you'd have either passed out or gone insane.

it had BETTER be TT$15000..... nobody ent getting me to pay that kinda of money for a friggin PS3... I rather buy a Wii and all current titles. XBOX 360 and all could get my money as it out a year already...

The point is, though, I'd much rather wait until the price drops and they kink all of the bugs they're inevitably going to find before I even think about buying a PS3. I'll admit, for a while, even the hype was getting to me and I wanted to nab one ASAP. Then, I realised that it really doesn't make sense. Patience is a virtue, after all.

So, the way I see it, I can go two ways.

One, I can wait a while, when some updated PS3 units comes off the assembly line at a more affordable price, so, not only do I benefit from having a more stable unit, but I'd be saving a couple of bucks as well.
