DSL HELLLLLL!!!!!!

Is anyone not getting connected to their dsl? For the last two days, my speedstream just saying that the local connection busy and it just won't connect. I called TSTT and after 45 mins....yes 45 MINUTES of waiting, all they could say is that they know about the problem and that they are working on it. They say its a problem occuring at random to customers all over the country. It doesnt make sense though because everyone I know has their service up and running. Even people opposite my house and up the street getting net and not me. (right now i in my yard  leeching some one of my neighbours' dsl, YES DSL, which happens to be working perfectly.) I feel they doing this for spite because I complained about them cutting down pple 512 to 256 on the TSTT forums site. Anyone have similar problems? I thinking bout going greendot all kinna ting cuz this is real madness.

TSTT in ah mess, every week that sending out Maintenance emails and there systems seem to be getting worst, they capping everybody speed and making one set ah dumb excuses. I fed up ah they sub broadband speeds and frequent down times.

It is island wide, even in work the net went down a couple days and TSTT just says "they're aware of the problem and are working on it"

I too was affected by this 'service outage' and I know 1 or 2 others that are either still being affected or have only now gotten it back. TSTT service was NEVER stellar so I am not sure what we're really making a fuss about. At LEAST you got them to answer the phone. Whem my net went down, I was on the phone for 45 mins 3 nigths in a row and could not get onto them. Either it would mysteriously cut off, or i'd just get fed up. Either way I NEVER got through. Anyways flow is Vsat so gamers... that not too feasible atm.

Well think about it 1200 for the card, less than 200 a month, in 12 months yuh pay like less than 2400,

Tstt dsl 600 for the modem 300 per month IF you have all the price cutting requirements $4200 minimum (granted the modem is still 600) so you do the math

Hmm could I just point out something?
Digicel taking service from flow....
so...
Wireless connection to digical ==  latency
wired (prolly) fibre backbone from digicel to Flow) == no latency
V-sat connection @ flow to Internet == LOTS of latency
so summing it up == latency + Lots of latency == GG @ ping.
Again, I say to GAMERS (i.e. ppl who game online, not merely download and browse, ESPECIALLY PPL ON LIVE) this won't be a viable alternative.

So how is flow going support voip and iptv over VSat? Didn't they buy over fibrecom? I don't think they will be able to run all those real time services over VSat, if they haven't hooked up to translatlanitc fibre yet they must be planning to when they launch these services.

they planning to link up to a fibre network their parent company now building i think , it hasn't reached trinidad yet , i heard that it will take 2 years from somewhere, papers maybe .
    Voip works over sat good, it did in my green dot days and some of those call centres use it too. A good sat connection will work for lots of stuff except gaming .
