I mean COME ON, this has been an issue of contention for a LONG time now but if Kakashi saying (way back in the day when he first faced off itachi with Kurenia and Asuma) that itachi was after the fourth's 'LEGACY' ppl usually refer to their kids as their legacy... so its not altogether like a shock... i'd like to know what happened to his mother though... the move by sasuke was decent but nothing to scream about yet... seeing as Sasuke seemed surprised that it was an illusion... kinda makes me think the fight is gonna entail Itachi kicking Sasuke's butt again... or perhaps we'll see another encarnation of the mangekyou sharingan.... a taijutsu version... poor Jaraiya seems like he's reaching the end of his road... WAY too many death indicators... someone might as well have painted a bullseye on him saying drop NUKE here.... next week shall hopefully reveal much more..

the reason why this was a stupid move is becuase it  was so ridiculously predictable! wtf was the point of all the suspense with out even TRYING to create a plot twist.

He started off well, giving hints but not being concrete, like what he did with konohamaru and azuma, that was nice, keep them wondering and then twist it up but noooooooo
yu have no idea how many people have become disenfranchised with the series with that one stupid revelation.
Iam so disappointed now that i dont even wanna see the sasuke itachi fight.

Ah boy. Crixx. Do you know why it was predictable? Come one. Take a guess...

Maybe, and just maybe, it's because he spent, oh, I don't know the span of the entire manga foreshadowing as much? Really...just how many times was this implied? For christ's sake they even have the same character design. Please...since you're so sure suggest something, anything substantial that would've been a better way of handling this article. Even so, what the hell is the purpose of creating a plot twist for the sake of it? That's not 'cool', that's just annoying and no writer spends so much time BLATATNLY alluding an event or plot point to twist it. Aside from that they still have not covered the reasonings behind his relations being kept secret from him. Hell, yondaime's paternity is just a fraction of what need to be revealed in that storyline so you might still get your precious "twist".

And what the hell? Since when is it a literary rule that all suspense is only wothwhile if there's a plot twist? That's just damned ridiculous.

Secondly...-all- shonen manga have a level of definite predictability to it. Simply because shonen, as a rule, is formulaic writing. You say that many people are disenfranchised? Well that's a glaringly obvious exaggeration. But...to humour you...most of you who feel that way are still going to read the manga regardless of it. Back to reality now, though. You people are in the minority and will always be in the minority. If you get disenfranchised over such an obvious and currently inconsequential to the storyline plot device then it's really simple; stop reading the manga. Your non-readership will go gloriously unnoticed, I can assure you.

Have to agree with you there UG this though expected kinda had my jaw dropping as well.......i wonder if naruto moms was a best....and we're taking side bets on the Jaraiya vs Pein odds are against Jaraiya but I'm hoping since we never really got to see him in a high level battle by himself he lives through at least this one...

Kakashi was the obvious choice for hokage , well among the characters we knew about.

He taught Naruto more in a few weeks than Ero Sennin  did in a year...

He can do jutsus on the level of a Hokage , produce water without a large water source etc.

He knows over 1000 justus and probably can teach all of them to others , as much or maybe more than the third hokage ..

He is probably the strongest in the village  if he is willing to damage himself bussing mangekyou sharingan . 

With a strong team supporting him eg. Gai , Sakura , Naruto etc. he can probably take on any threat Konoha has to face..

Notice Akatsuki isn't attacking Konoha directly , their strategy is to weaken and bankrupt all the villages .

Anyone remember how Itachi wanted to capture Kakashi alive in their first fight?

Obviously he knows he could have unleashed the Mangekyou , and if they could brainwash him like they did Obito (if they did brainwash Obito , he won't attack Konoha ninja otherwise) he would have made a potential member .

As for the jaraiya fight i seein jaraiya getting lix.... Not badly though.... Well probably a draw.... Well may be he would... Well...

I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Truely though I hoping that during the fight jaraiya put up an excellent fight and then when pein try to kill him naruto shows up
and is pissed to see jaraiya lying there.... dying.

And he screams ero-sennin, ero-sennin then he cries ero-sennin then his eyes turn red and his teeth grow long and his nails
grow out and he says his favourite line <-- you know the one where he threatens to kill someone who will more than likely kick
is a$$. Anyway in continuing naruto skips one tail, two tails and three tails and jumps straight into four tail mode.

And the fight starts there. So naruto can only get more pissed and we will see more tails in action.

Meanwhile, whilst kakashi was travelling from tree to tree he senses something/someone... thats right, you guessed it <-- his old pal obito.
Needless to say there will be some talking there before the fight begins.

At the same time sasuke and itatchi are battling for the last of the uchiha's, with one awesome display of all levels of jutsus.
until....

sasuke's hate leads him to, you guessed it.... and ultimate version of mangekuo sharingan, and after inflicting it on his brother itatchi lies there
motionless. He looks into sasuke's eyes saying to him: "you've gotten stronger, now kill me". Sasuke's rage takes him to another level and and he reached for his sword to pierce it throught itatchi's face......... stab!!!!!

Just to the right of his face. He's unable to carry out the kill. He goes beserk, his mind is playing tricks on him.

From what i've seen in the spoilers... this week will be pretty quiet... more story telling... Jaraiya interrogates some rain village ppls, Konan (the girl) does a jutsu to find Jaraiya... oh and Sasuke and Hebi start moving toa new location... presumably where Itachi is...

 Naruto has alot of 'fale thrills' . Alot of the time we expect someone to dead.. when its a bunshin or replacement..
   
  Alot of the time we expect ' next manga go be big fight!' and there is none .

No real action going on. But they seem to be building Pain up a hell of alot. And it looks like he and Jiraiya gonna have a showdown next chapter. Will be interesting to see if Jiraiya survives.
