Simply because obito died a hero and was one of the few uchiha's who was actually good (except for itachi). Not to mention it was only 2 or 3 years after the incidents of the war that obito face of against the 4th hokage and march in with power to rival madara! Controlling kyuubi and whatnot! In 3 years? Be real nah man.

Adult Obito, not Kid Obito. Interesting... that means he's not a Undead summon and i think i now understand how Ochimaru plays into this story now, given his back story and how Ole snakey never wanted a war. Let's see how he reacts when they meet up on the battlefield. More to come on what built up his resentment, possibly the loss of Rin drove him on.. hmmm...

u still dont know if that was obito under the mask back then... so dont jump to conclusions...

additionally, kishi hasnt really dropped the ball in his story telling, so again.. dont jump to conclusions...

Its not like I am jumping to an invalid conclusion. He reveal obito to be tobi, and tobi faced the fourth, thus it is fair to assume that obito was under the mask and faced the fourth. Either way, I may read next just to see the justification, but if its because "Rin" died then yes story telling has gone to shit. Just my opinion.

After reading through that eps again, my guess was that both Kakashi and Obito were being manipulated. Assumption is that Maradra influenced Obito via the Zetsu clone he was wearing. ( As Obitio appeared to be in a trance when his Sharigan awakened and only lashed out in a rage for seeing Rin dying before him via the linking of eyes.)

As for Kagashi, on the slimmest of chances the right eye of Obito being able to see what the left eye on Kagashi had done, leaves the far possibility that Maradra could have manipulated them both via eye jitisu. We'll have to see how the story plays out and if this is the truth behind the Awakening and the death.

I think that is one of the crappiest story arcs i've ever read. I'm upset that there isnt a showdown against Sasuke.
