lol, nice try jedi but Halo 2 already made it's money on the xbox to cover the million dollar development costs so that doesn't count.

Yeah, the 7600 GTS would be a modest upgrade from a 6600 GT. about 30 - 40% faster.

At that price, you really can't argue.

That's less than I paid for 6600 GTs last year.

 The 8800gtx benches 13000 3dmark 06 , only drawback is that it requires  4 molex connectors.. But the revisions following it will improve power usage likely , we can expect similar performance from ATI cards down the line...

I just read this morning that the 8800GTX on a dual core (even OCed to the high heavens) only managed just shy of 12K in 3DMark06. So it looks like Quad core is the only thing that will get you those 13K records and even then it was OCed anys. That aside, we have no IN GAME benchmarks... soo all this talk bout G80 doh mean much without game benchmarks. FPS and picture quality pplz. That aside, the X1950Pro looking like it, but I have a lil time... like waiting on the 175USD one to get back in stock. I also read another article review that can be seen here. Seems like Xfire on the X1950Pro is also decent. Either way it may be at least worth waiting on G80's official launch as that SHOULD push the price of this card down a tad.

nothing like raw cpu power to inflate those 3dmark scores!

But actually the fact that 1950xtx in xfire are hitting 13's as are 7950gtx's in sli says alot.

If you want the fastest then 2x g80 it is but for the price it's best to get xfire or sli vs 1 8800.
