its a personal file server which runs off your pc.
the hd space depends on the avaliable space of your hdd.
using tstt 256k u could most likely host a low traffic site.
u can upload some files if u want user:guest, pass:guest

Very nice idea, perfect for when i am on the road and need a particular file...provided I have hi speed where i am (but then is nothing some ev-do can't fix)

I setting one up myself, i fed up ah my paddnas telling me they can't find this and that, so i figure i go make a ftp site for them to come and download. Any pointers?

I suppose this is easier than a regular ftp site.

though I figure your friends would be better off getting stuff from the internet themselves than from you.

That way they won't slow down your bandwidth, unless you got bandwidth to burn that is.

lol when i'm not home yeah i have to burn, b/c i usually not home during the day and/or till late at night. plus i think it would be a great learning xp to linux security and the internet. like tell them try to hack it (although they would prob try some script kidde tactic)
