I'm starting this new thread by asking all comic readers out there:
AHEM...
What is the last comic you've read so far and recommend to others basically the good issues that are or were  out there right now....You can post some comments if you want.
I read Ultimate Fantastic Four #21-23. It was the three-part series entitles, "Crossover". Basically, Reed receives contact from an older version of himself from an alternate dimension. After crossing over, Reed discovers he's been duped and that the entire world is infested with blood-thirsty zombies, looking for their next meal. Namely, Reed.
These issues were actually very suspenseful so if you can buy it or torrent it if you haven't read it.

he becomes one of those stupid zombies and together with the rest of them manage to EAT GALACTUS!

yea that marvel zombies arc was dredd....that thing make my blood crawl when galactus get scramble (wasnt expecting galactus to take out tho) and mags get eat alive...but here's my collection so far

are the zombie versions aware and intelligent? are they actively choosing who they go after and where they go? or are they just hunting? do they communicate and stuff??

and how did they over power mags? and for that matter how the hell did they take out galactus?

The last Wolverine issue I picked up was the controversial one where Nitro explodes, stripping Wolverine down to his bare skeleton, only to have him shake it off in about 2 seconds in the pink of health. Seriously, to this day, I still say..."What the F-"

Currently, I'm reading 'Street Fighter Legends: Sakura'. Very interesting, and the part where Zangief lariats his way through the crowd to challenge Mika to a rematch was gold. Can't wait for the second issue.

Yeah....but to me, Marvel is just abusing Wolverine's Healing Factor to the Nth degree right now.
It has become this wild deus ex machina that allows them to do all kinds of unbelievable crap to anybody who has it, so fans can brag about things like "Hay wulverine gut hit bai a train and survived! HE RAWKS!11"

As big a fan I am of him, I really think they should tone down Wolverine's wild comebacks a bit. Because being reduced to a skeleton and healing back goes against what had already been establshed as canon, namely the part that says: "If Wolverine loses a substantial amount of blood and tissue or experiences injuries resulting in losses of vital organs, he will die."

Now, to explain it away, here's the new explanation:

"In Wolverine, vol3. #43, Wolverine is shown regenerating all of his bodily tissue after being incinerated down to his skeleton. In Excalibur vol. 1 #100, the Xavier Protocols reveal that the removal of adamantium from Wolverine's skeleton increased his healing factor to "incredible levels" and that the only way to kill him is to remove his head from the vicinity of his body."

There's just one problem with that theory. Remember Sabretooth from Ultimate X-Men?
He got freaking decapitated and still recovered, and the explanation they gave was that his head wasn't completely severed, some very thin veins were still attaching his head to his body.

Bull***t, I know, but my point is, if they did that to Sabretooth, how do we know that they're not going to do the same thing with Wolverine if the event occurs when somebody lops his head off?

With that statement, Wolverine has become virtually unkillable.
I'm not lying....if the only way to really kill him is to remove his head, and Marvel can explain away a very unrecoverable move like decapitation like that, then forget it. He's invincible, as far as I'm concerned.

at this point, he's almost indestructible as Mr. Sinister

Anyways...is there "ANYONE" in this site that has scans for the MARVEL series...Spider-man loves Mary Jane..I want to get that..

I seriously can't recall. I believe it was when Wolverine and Jean Grey got trapped in a rocket heading for the sun, and Wolverine stabbed her so she wouldn't endure the pain when they landed. Somehow, Wolverine managed to survive, and it was later explained that the Phoenix saved his life. I think this took place in New X-Men, a couple of issues before 'Xorneto' killed Jean Grey with a 'planetary scale' stroke, and Wolverine lopped off his head in retaliation.

...give me a few minutes, I'll look for a source.



EDIT:Got it. The issue was New X-Men #150, during the "Planet X" storyline.
Here's an excerpt from Jean Grey's Wikipedia article:

"Later, Wolverine and Phoenix are propelled towards the sun while on Asteroid M. About to die, Wolverine reluctantly stabs Phoenix so she will not have to die an agonizing death in the intense solar heat. Seconds before they collide with the sun, the Phoenix Force manifests within Jean, and she saves them both. She tells him that by killing her, he helped her release the "Phoenix Consciousness." Arriving on Earth, they encounter an impostor of Magneto who mortally injures Phoenix by transferring a large amount of electro-magnetic energy to her brain, inducing a "planetary-scale stroke." As Jean dies in Scott's arms, she tells him to live."
