Marvel's going to hell IMHO...and i hope to god DC doesn't follow....then again there's a lot of crisis in DC and Wars in Marvel.....
I hope they clean up and start telling proper stores that don't require having to buy 50-100 books to finish one ****ING Story....

I don't get what the complaint is, really. Unless you're absolutely compelled to collect them all you don't have to. Marvel has just decided to tell bigger stories which really don't require that you pick up the side stories from them at all but usually rewards fans who do with some non-vital collateral details on the story...which can always be wiki'd, really. All you have to do is pick up the main book and pick up the books of whatever other marvel team/character you like and you get to see stories told in which ever tone marvel has adopted for that year.

The only thing is that sometimes the side stories are occasionally better than the main story. Incredible Hercules during secret invasion was better than the main SI book. The Superman Beyond 3-D and Rogue's Revenge book out of final crisis were -astoundingly- well written and tell great almost self-contained stories just with the overarching final crisis tone.

sorry about the language. I just had some "wonderful" experiences with both Dc and Marvel. Infinite crisis with Dc and Civil War with Marvel......
Those two storylines were freakishly long and expensive to collect. Besides, Infinite crisis was a direct fallout from Identity crisis......which had it's own entire story to follow complete with tie ins. That kinda pisses me off cuz in order to get the full picture you need to get at least that limited series along with Infinite Crisis 1-7 and Omac Project 1-6, Villians United 1-6, Day of Vengeance 1-6 and Rann Thannagar War 1-6  just to understand that story properly.... so that's what i hate about comics today.. :P

Right now I prefer to read Marvel more than DC, they just have cooler books!
Currently I'm reading Black Panther, X-MEN:LEGACY and Fusion, but my books are a few months behind, cause it's so hard to get new books in Trinidad!

Just love Topcow, ever since Valiant crashed they're the best replacement. Currently I read the Darkness, Cyberforce/Hunter-Killler, X-men and the JLA. Would've also been reading the Black Panther, if the book was'nt so hard to find!

guys, do yourselves a favor and check out Haunt from Image, Todd McFarlane works on this series.. that alone should enact a purchase decision
I've heard about that book it's kinda like Spawn meets 007, maybe I'll give it a try cause I'm not too happy about what they did to my boy Al Simmons!

PUNISHER MAX for tha WIN yall.favourite comic book of all time!!!....I've gotten to the point where Kingpin is hiring different assassins to kill Frank Castle....He just hired Bullseye.( I'm slightly behind tho) the beauty about the Marvel Max line is that it is entirely made for adult reading and the themes are quite realistic...i went as far as getting myself a copy of Punisher BORN, a mini series (Also MArvel MAX ) which goes into the origins of Frank castle becoming the punisher whilst in Vietnam...lets just say, (SPOILER ALERTT)

he made a deal with the Devil himself...

Other than that I got myself an issue of Wanted..but it's waaaaaaay different from the movie...
Finally I got myself scans of the Spawn series and I mean ALL...as in curse of the Spawn( which is my favourite I don't know why Image comics stopped it at issue 29), Spawn Dark Ages, Spawn the Undead...All of them...However when they reached the endgame bit I kinda lost interest although the portrayal of the apocalypse was epic.
