Well... in the song (New York right?) with Alicia Keys there is a line where he says:

My bro put me onto that fact... At first I wasn't much a fan of Jay-Z but I gave jack his jacket as for walking into a studio and dropping a track or even an album, the man can nigh be beat. Now that i've stated the eye brow raiser and a link to one form of thinking, let me place another spin on it. This could also be interpreted as stating the 'apparent' truth that there are many that fall into the 'fast' life and lose themselves. However references to the church and 'Mary' etc aren't needed are they? why not other religious connotations? why not different religions? I believe it's his specific references to Christianity that would attract or offend. All this being said Crixx when you are going to comment on something at LEAST do some reading first nah. Find out more about it before you just say ppl are haterz.

first off, i ASKED what that line meant because i never even heard the line, i wasnt saying emphatically its what he was saying, i asked what he meant and offered what i thought it meant, especially since it was out of context.

Secondly, the other stuff i said about him having his reputation smeared by FALSE HOODS created by churches (not THE church, just small churches that want to use him and his music as a launching pad for some good ole hate and fear mongering to enthrall their masses) is completely true. There is a famous video of a pastor at one of these churches playing one of Jay Zs songs for his congregation, and then supposedly backmasking the song to reveal Jay Z saying "Murder Murder Jesus Jesus"
and other nonsense, which of course scared the crap out of his congregation and sparked a MASSIVE wave of anti Jay Z rhetoric.
None of these people even bothered to check the validity of this so called back masked message and just went on a tirade about Jay.

Then some sound guys, perturbed by the supposed message went and backmasked the exact same song at the exact same interval that supposedly contained the message and found that the clip the pastor played was completely false!!
The freakin pastor had some of his boys chop up the song, edit the parts where Jay says murder and later in the song says Jesus and spliced the two together then dubbed the back masked music of the song unto the edit to make it sound authentic.

THIS is the kind of rubbish that is being portrayed as "Evidence" that Jay is anti christ.
Stupid fear and hate mongering.

Iam not sure what the part about life starts when the church ends, its probably some good ole metaphoric rhyming that your supposed to figure out, but i think that part about hail mary to the city might refer to the foot ball pass known as a hail mary pass.

They started this same rubbish campaign against rihanna in umbrella, backmasking the song looking for some non existant link to demonic lyrics... even though neither rihanna nor Jay WROTE THE DAMN SONG so there would be no reason to assume that it contained demonic lyrics since it cant be thought that EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF MUSIC THAT IS NOT GOSPEL CONTAINS DEMONIC BACK MASKED REFERENCES.

That being said, Jay-Z doesn't write his own music? So his going on (can't remember now it was SO long ago) MTv and saying how all he EVER does is go to the studio and drop a track off the TOP OF HIS HEAD (which is the PRIMARY reason I GAINED respect for him in the first place) is rubbish?.. well either way i'd drop the props, if he doesn't write his own lyrics OR if he just blindly sings what a writer gives him.

I said that neither Rihanna nor Jay Z wrote Umbrella, because they didnt, Ne Yo did.
