Any one else getting problems opening Gmail?

I have found for the past 4 mnths or so whenever i try to open my gmail....it hangs.

The page then says that it taking unusually long and that i should try to use Basic Html view.

This never works so i refresh.....then about 20 refreshes later i get through.

This happens on My dialup connection. 

and occasionally on DSL.

Has anybody else had this problem?......and more importantly if anyone knows of good fixes.


Note: I get through with other web based email very easily & Gmail does acknowledge the fact that some users experience this problem.

Few things you can try...

1. Try clearing up your cache.
2. When you do a Refresh, do a Ctrl+Refresh so as to force the browser to do a round trip to the server instead of hitting your cache.
3. Pray.

which browser you gettin this with?

My Browser is Firefox.....i tried Internet Explorer (wow i haven't used that for over a year now!!) 

and yes i did pray!!.....i mean i was using IE!! 


Anyway It's the same thing.....

When i got through eventually with Firefox.....I also got through with IE.......
