Gamers for Linux petition
« on: October 03, 2006, 03:32:34 PM »
I came across this petition and encourage all gamers and Linux users to sign it. Maybe with enough support we can change the minds of game developers to include native Linux support for games. Even if you are not a gamer, keep in mind that support for commercial games in Linux is a big barrier for adoption by many users. Your support is also welcome.

I'll sign these things but it feels kinda depressing, like when you press the submit button it just goes into the ether. oh well.

Mandriva add some mirrors yesterday, I think. I downloading it right now at home but I not sure the free version have Cedega. I think the version you have to pay for has Cedega, but when it done I go see.

Actually, I already finished downloading the Live CD (One). Now I am downloading the 3 CD Free set. I will see if that one has Cedega, although I don't think it will.

Now that ATI has released full drivers for opensource, and asus has full mobo drivers for all their boards, lots of companies are taking linux seriously, the demand is increasing!

Games are next! I mean if Wolfenstein enemy teratory plays fine on linux, so can many more!

With linux gaming on your minds has anyone been able to get Warcraft III to work on wine?
I was trying it out this weekend but the bleeding ting just giving me a cdrom drive error, even after I install the no-cd patch!!!
It also yapping about some X11 error with cannot change screen BPP from 32 to 16.

I guess i'll try it out with cedega next week.
