  I officially dissolve the clan for many reasons , thanks to a certain member's lack of respect , common sense and poise bieng a member was more a pain than an enjoyment . The initial idea of having a 'democratic' clan was impossible because of him wanting to do things his way and creating strife . Besides that , no one in the clan sees everyone else on a regular basis , and i'm thankful for that actually.  We never really did get the chance to challenge or play anyone else , and now thats an impossibilty because we go to different schools (and have no car, and no desire to see one another) .
    Otherwise , everyone i think is happier for it . The clan was never anything more than a device to prove who was 'best' , few words of encouragement or good advice were shared , just animosity . There was never any teamwork until the 'team' realised too late that they needed it , and lost the game anyway .
 
 So i offer this advice to anyone looking to start a clan :
 Firm leadership is a must , take suggestions , but if anyone wants to do things his way , kick him out.
 It must be enjoyable and constructive . Help the weak ones , don't ridicule them , don't expect everyone to play at 100% all the time, don't make it an ego building oppurtunity for anyone .
  Make sure everyone is self sufficient , make sure everyone has access to a gameable pc/console, half the time was spent trying to get games to work in cafes or copying stuff .
  Keep arguments to a minimum , try to have discussions.

 and if you happen to meet marcus bernard, don't take him seriously , his purpose in life is to make up for his inadequacies by bringing down everyone better than him to his level.

Heed history or you will be doomed to repeat it. This sort of thing happens all too often and has been the death of many clans the world over.

The only reason X has been able to remain around after all these years, is because I have read way too many articles on clans, their successes and their failures. A lot of great advice on the topic out there on the internet.

Think of your liming buddies in primary school as your first clan. 5 years later, where are they now? Scattered across the island/world most likely. You won't be close chums with the majority of 'em. That's natural.

You don't give up on life and die at that stage. No, you find new padners to roll with in secondary school or the work place.

Same is applicable in gaming clans. The only constant is change. So my advice to you:

Don't abandon the clan. Try an infusion of fresh blood. Must have some gamers in your school or men from the neighbourhood. Family even, I know prowl still games. No shame in askin.

Most of the active [X] members today weren't in the clan two years ago. 90%.

Well, I'm sorry things didn't work out.

Personally, though, I think clans that don't have strong leaders to organise things are doomed to fail, for probably the same reason. I've seen clashes of egos kill many a good thing, myself, and it often leads to people leaving bitter, bitter, bitter.

However, I disagree with the statement that if somebody wants to do something his way, 'kick him out', unless by that you mean 'he's acting all high and mighty and doesn't want to be a team player'. People are always going to have their two cents about things, and should be free to at least suggest whatever.

Ah, well. C'est la vie.

yeah, I agree neo. Kicking him out may be a bit harsh.

Granted, if you've got a strong minded guy in the squad, he can be your greatest ally and your greatest enemy all at once.

I'd say rather than booting him out, let him call the shots sometimes. Make a good effort of it. See if it pans out. If his plan fails then he may be willing to try it your way.

If he's still acting ignorant and unreasonable, then kick him to the curb. lol

Speaking of clans that go 'poof!', whatever happened to the Looney Tunes clan? The ones that were on the forums like a year ago? Those guys were awesome.
