Indeed @ daz a trini.... so anyone wanna place any bets as to how many more aftershocks we gonna get before it done? We on quake 2, next is Quake Arena and then Quake 4 and lastly Quake wars... I say maybe we go see an Arena, but I doubt 4 or wars...

This one was a 5.5...according to same usgs site.

I was at school during a free chilling in the library when it hit, my first though was ' F**k bush bombing trinidad' ,  girls started screaming ( st. joseph convent) and hiding under desk.. by the time i look to 'shield' the nearest best thing with my body it was over : ( .

I was on the road (highway, Aranjuez) when the 1st one hit.  I was like 'WHO DE MC SHAKIN UP MIH CAR!!?', but then I looked around and realized there was no one around, and I didnt get hit from behind.
Then my friend in the passenger seat shouted 'LOOK AT DE LAMP-POST HOSS!!!'  We both sat there transfixed, while the car bucked like CRAZY!!!  I actually laughed out loud when I saw people doing the excact opposite of what you're supposed to do while driving, namely, jumping out their cars and running like lil beeyatches all over.

The 2nd time, I was in a comms room in P.O.S.  All of a sudden, rack start to boogie down de place and do the bankhead-bounce, harlem-shuffle, uptown shake, you name it.  I thought equipment was gonna fall on my black azz.  Of course, everybody who laugh off the 1st one run out on de Promenade REAL quick though (lol).

TWO in one day boy?   WOW!!!

pressure.

when the first one hit, was enroute to work in the car so I ain't feel sh1t.

Trinity thought we got a flat tire and real pull over to check.

When I reach to work, man say no one could enter the building. Quake iwmc.

The second one hit me level shot though. Sitting by the cubicle trying to do something constructive and then the cubile start to stookie and dutty wine. Real moves.

B line for the exit yes.

Out and Bad

LMAO @ "....flip off ah forklift and hurdle jump...."

I was on de phone int eh upstar5is of a noffice when the first earthquake hit...  as it start while i talking i jes bawl out earthquake... as i say it the person I was talking to start to feel it as well : I iin St James, person in Crews Inn. sook for like half aminute. I just placed my hand on the PC i was working the working on to make sure the scanner didn't fall of the tower...

when the second earth quake com i did the same thing just hold on tot he computer.. that one last longer than the first. I am skeptical of the value for the strength: 5.8 then 5.3? granted that i was in an upstaris building thus what i felt was most likely multiplied, but the difference was enough for me to query...

But what I fine was real stupid was the country general reaction: panic... schools and office closed... I literally watch the worst traffic (short of the day of hurricane Emily)  to enter St. James....outright gridlock!! if you see man making U-turn by the infirmary!!

So you go shut the country down on account of 2 earthquakes where only nominal damage was reported?? STEUPS!!

I did hear that a big crack appear on teh Ministry of Science by Long Cir. Mall and some glass bildg in town had a few cracked glass panes.

Sigh, we have NO disaster plan, nuh. Within the last 2 weeks a DESIGNATED hurricane shelter get flood out from 'petty' rains... I REALLY hope when some SERIOUS hit, I have my sizeable stash of cash in my lil pan, yes...

oh yeah:
Just last week I had found andinstalled a cool Widget for Opera 9 (just like extensions in FireFox) that displays locations and strengths of earthquakes around the world. Who'd of thaough I'd actually have use for it?
