ey, that picture was...
weird boy. it was like 28 days later, but the style din really suit what the picture was about. mr, tumnus (goat man in narnia) reall kind of break out they in that with the not so brief nudity. whitaker was so-so. no big action scene. no big joke. no big line. nothing big really.
anybody went and see that? i wondering now what make me go and see that.

not sure if you mean, bird as in 'flying animal' or if is some kind of slang. if it is, - somewhat embarrassing for me, if it isn't, well, i don't do literature or english. i study science and play games, so...
it does not have to do with a 'bird'
it is about a scottish doctor who goes to uganda to work with the mission on a kind of holiday trip, then he bounces up with amin, and as he had to do a mercy killing of  cow, amin get impresed and offer him a work as personal doctor, he then has an affair with the man wife. the man cut up the wife, doctor try to kill him, plan din work, amin beat his ass (is 'ass' allowed on this site? not too strict? anyway...) doctor gets himself smuggled onto plan to escape amin and thuggish co.
that's it really.
 dissappointing.

if you ever read about Amin and his time as ruler of Uganda then you may havesome interest in this movie.

ask your parents about Amin, every thing they said about him in the movie is true.

and a 'bird' is slang for 'chick' or 'girl'

a) I have never once heard of the slang 'bird'  in  reference to the  female gender, and it is somewhat offensive, but that's totally beside the point,

b) I payed 18 dollars to see the movie; I don't have to ask my parents - I know about Amin and had an interest in the movie.

Did you see the movie? It wasn't a very good movie. and I'm not trying to make light of the situatuion that existed in Uganda when i say that. The style of the movie wasn't appropriate in my opinion; the casting was acceptable, performances by Whitaker and Mr. tumnus, (sorry, but i really cannot remember that man's name) and too much of it was peripheral.

It wasn't a very good movie.

 This is the same guy who thinks Eragorn is a good book  , haven't seen it meself but it looks real good, and rotten tomatoes gave it 88% http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/last_king_of_scotland/ , and them people HARD to please , they gave episode 3 82% .

What is so wrong with the threads I start, Laertes? Stop hatin. And hey, i do appreciate the independant styles of movies. I went to see 28 on its opening day in the cinema, and have it on tape and dvd. Its not that i don't appreciate the style of it, all I'm saying that it seemed incompatible with the plot.

I watch movies, all the time, and I would bet hard money that LK of scotland not winning no awards for nothing despite the hype because it only looks good  in broad theory, not even in synopsis.

Hey, I never claimed to be the movie critic of the land, all I'm saying is that I think the movie was not very good. Never intended to offend anyone... Never intended to give a draft of the movie plot either...only to give my honest, humble opinion on a picture I saw which I found dissapointing. If you find the picture was good, then good for you. (no sarcasm here)
 
Mellow the vibes. The threads I started are not purposeless, at least they aren't to me. , and I didn't see no bulletin stating the criteria a thread should live up to.

Wasn't really going for deep insight in the thread - just an opinion and your free to disagree and say "yay, best movie ever",  but insulting the insight of the nikko is in itself not so ' insightful'.
