Savage is one of the greatest games to ever pass through GATT. Incredible sweats we had with that. Awesome RTS/FPS/RPG hybrid.
The original version is a bit dated now by today's graphics and gameplay standards. The hit detection is also particularly piss poor.
Still, I cannot stress how much of a good game this was.
A few mods out there aim to improve the gameplay so definitely chase down those if you are gonna give it a try.
This was an indie project. That is, a small group of developers creating and publishing the game. No big media house effort.
It won numerous awards as a result and did particularly well (thanks to low overhead costs)
Savage 2 is on it's way. Definitely one of the biggest sweat games on the radar in my book.
