.....
those arent computers
those are 300 dollar calculators
So that would make the XPS systems 1000+ USD graphical calculators? :p

no winny, that would be like comparing those 300 dollar calculators to big blue. Simply not fair.
Anyways, sureellyyyyy yu can NOT be comparing those calculators to core 2 machines? O.o
and IAMMM the zealot... righttt

We aren't disputing Intel's reign as king of the performance hill here crixx, we are however pointing out that you can buy 2 A64 X2 systems for less than the price of 1 XPS machine :p now if you think about that, which would an office looking for affordable systems with more than enough performance go for? hmm... 1 Conroe vs 2 X2s..... hmm decisions... I know I will buy 1 conroe and have 2 workers work out a shift system so each can use the machine for 15 mins at a time. baka...

lol @ win1try
note to self: NEVER work at any company where W1nTry is my boss. Possibly Crixx too. I'd lock your tail out that computer for spite!!
but on topic... I sure as hell ent go mind an X2 on the cheap .. the average non-techie user will probably go AMD simply becasue of price.. but tis left to be seen....

Hmmmm i think W!n was being sarcastic there. For business purposes, even an x2 will be a bit of overkill, much more so for core 2.
Fellas, i want your opinion on something. As far as i know, even with all the 64bit processors floating around these days, most people still using 32bit os. How come xp64 hasnt really taken off stronger as yet? Is it simply issues with drivers? Also whats the situation with developers making 64 bit apps? Is this being done in a big way as yet? I remember there was a big deal about the farcry 64 bit patch some years ago but nothing really that big since. Was the scene?

Well, my bro bought a PC from Ibuypower or Cyberpower (don't remember which one) with XP 64 bit and has been having a hell of a time getting a lot of stuff to run. He has trouble with certain drivers and especially games. If you want to try a real 64 bit OS, try one of the many flavors of Linux. Those actually work.
