Keep in mind that this hacker group could have done the same attack on Xbox Live or Nintendo. Rel unfortunate Sony had to be the target of this.
I knew they were re-coding their entire security system. Might have a new firmware update to coincide with this + rel testing.

that article is bogus... people have a right to complain as they are... they have a right to PSN service it is why they bought a PS3, he's implying that PSN is free, but it is not
we pay a heft price for ps3 and its games to enjoy psn service (i believe games come with "Playstation Network logo", implying PSN service.

secondly... people dont mean Sony shouldnt have taken down the system, they mean it never should've happen. As a user of the service people put a certain level of trust in assuming that their data is secured. No we go to find out that it was not, and the problem is so bad that it warrants a shutdown because our data is open.

pssht i say people have a right to be up in arms and down on Sony to get they act together... anything less will result in the same situation again

yea but thing is given the current situation Sony has to ensure PSN is safe, after all, millions of psn users have personal data at risk of being compromised. Sony could be facing the mother of all lawsuits if they don't put something into place.

Im not saying that people shouldn't be vex. Of course they should, but crap happened and its being dealt with. continous griefing and bitching ain't helping nun.


I do believe that Sony should be A LOT more forthcoming with updates though, and with at least an estimate of when it would be back up.

crap happens man, nothing is perfect, and, afterwards we will get a better service. (and who knows maybe proper chat support)

Yes but when organizations do crap especially with your personal stuff u have to bitch moan and take as much action as u can to make sure they know there place...
Especially an org like Sony that shaft loyal customers in the name of security and protecting their property... Then for this to happen? Why should we as loyal customers hadda go tru all d crap and still get shaft on both ends.. Customers should hit them hard imo

Well on a good note the outage did make me load up the Black Ops campaign for the first time, I went through the whole campaign, was fun while it lasted hehe.

I still got God of War 1, 2 and 3 to go through so that should keep me occupied hehe.

Loaded up Gears of War 3 Beta and played a few games online today, GAME IS BESS!!!! Sucks that PSN is down, but I didn't notice since XBox Live is ALIVE and well!!
