For the most part I'll be playing Team Tactical for a nice mix of objective and small team games.

well i dont like big games to begin with
and i really wanna see some tweakin done to that barebones list
i mean they have 1 with standard cod 4 lvl killstreaks
then 1 with nothing at all , no attachments, equipment, perks nothing

that is too much barebones
just gimme a 4v4 with objective gamemodes only cuz tdm takes no skill and ppl camp 24/7 and remove killstreaks and the CHEAP attachments like the flamethrower and nade launcher

and use the smallest maps only
and it go be decent

Well I've finally gotten PlayStation Move, and it is really impressive stuff.
From the videos it looks "ok" but when you actually see/feel the 1-to-1  tracking it really is something else.
Played Sports Champions that came in the bundle with my family..My parents and my aunt, were participating in playing the games. They were having fun, laughing, and weren't seeing the move controller as your typical controller. Of course the Wii did this a long time ago, but it really is that much better on PS3, especially with the HD graphics. (A barrier not much mentioned these days is the cartoony appearance of some games that turn people away, vs. the realistic "human" detail/feel).

We also played about 6 demos that we downloaded from the PlayStation Store. My sis had a real blast with "Eyepet", simple and casual fun virtual pet game. Again everyone were participating, and just amazed at the interaction.
I won't lie though, some of the games like "TV Superstars" were terrible, at least to me. The contrast here being, my "non-gamer" family found it fun, while the rest of us saw it as bland and uninteresting.

Bottom-line, we don't regret the purchase at all. My mom is playing video games now.
That alone was worth it.
In all seriousness, the tech is definitely there. Its all up to the developers to make good games. You guys should really consider getting Move or at least check it out.

I haven't tried it with any shooters yet. Not sure if the KIllzone 3 beta supports it..will let you guys know later on.

Do I need to have two move controllers to have fun with the gf, family etc? Just making sure...

We got the Sports Champions bundle which includes 1 move controller, the PS eye and a game.
Also got one additional Move Controller and one navigation controller.
The nav controller isn't required for current games really as it can be mimicked with a dualshock 3. However it makes sense for shooters and and adventure games that you'll need to move a character about, conveniently.

The ultimate move package will be 4 controllers. 1 each for games like Table Tennis, 1 each for 4 player games and 2 each for games like the gladiator duel in sports champions. (one controller for shield and the other for sword, each person).
2 controllers are not required for that gladiator example as the game gives you the option of playing with just one, though 2 would be obviously funner.

To sum it up, just get 2 controllers to start with for basic multiplayer/2 controller single player gaming.
Otherwise you'll want to get 4 move controllers for the full experience.

...and thats where the value proposition becomes a bit daunting.

I really think Sony should offer a bundle with just the Move wand/nav controller/PS Eye...and another one with just the wand/nav.  Not everyone would want the sports game.

...and I'll keep saying this till I'm blue in the face, but the price really needs to be slashed.  Up to FOUR people can use ONE MS Kinect.

At the very least, Sony should make the price of two wand/nav bundles equivalent to the price of one Kinect.

You not gonna buy a Piss-eye (lol) if you have one already and why not have the option to make your own flippin bundle?? I swear that these ppl coulda hire me to do their marketing plan.....

Yea I think universally everyone didn't agree with their "launch" plan.
The Bundle did actually work out for me as we got an extra camera for my ps3 as we had one before on my sister's ps3.
As for the sports game inclusion, I actually think that was the right "move" because it really is the showcase for the tech right now.
The price is high when compared to Kinect because Sony chose to stay with traditional controller pricing, what'd you expect .
Nice to see Woodyear and Redfish getting move equipped soon. BluVice should be getting it also.

Are there any good casual games that can be played online with the Move?

I think MAG is the only multiplayer game that supports it atm.

As for casual,  believe "TV Superstars" has online play but that is just an awful game.
Right now its all about families in living rooms.

GT5 is supposed to also support it.

Sports Champions online would be a blast lol, they may patch it in..in future, yuh never know.
Or we'll get it in the inevitable Sports Champions 2.
