What the heck when i get back my Hot shots golf and decided to go online and had to download 938 updates o_O needless to say i left it updating overnight.

Well guys my 40gb PS3 of 1 year 11 months is DEAD. (Just when I was thinkin about MAG too... *sniff*) It's the blinking red light of death: switch it on, red standby light, touch the power, light turns green, on for two seconds, light turns amber briefly, beeps three times, turns off, blinking red light. Googled some fixes and I got the game that was in there out. Then I tried re-seating the hard disc. No luck. I tried to start it without the hard disc to see if it was a disc malfunction. No luck. So my options are to see if I get it repaired locally... eventually. Or to get a slim... eventually and have a funeral for my trusty 40 gig. LOL. Good thing I backed up my Warhawk data to flash drive just recently. So I'm off the PS3/PSN scene for a while.

well where i got the system offered a 3 month warranty.
Its been less than 2months.
So here's hoping they swap the system for me.... I glad i didnt play any SP games with progression on it though so as for saves the loss aint as bad as with the 60gb.
