Can't agree with this they still have much catching up to do.

http://www.psu.com/PSN-no-longer-playing-catch-up-with-XBL,-says-Lempel-News--a007715-p0.php

PlayStation Network boss Eric Lempel has insisted that Sony’s online service no longer has to play ‘catch up’ with Xbox Live, and believes in some areas PSN actually offers more than its Microsoft counterpart.

"... at this stage of the game when I really look at PSN and the entire offering I think we're in great shape. I don't think there's a lot of “catch up” [with XBL] anymore. In some cases, I think we've got more, and we've got some other things they don't have,” Lempel told IndustryGamers.

The executive went on to highlight several key aspects of PSN, including the fact the service is free and offers a number of popular attractions such as PlayStation Home, as well as the ability to purchase movies via the video download service.

"I think there's a lot we're doing that in some cases they're not doing, and I don't see a lot of things they're doing that we're not," said Lempel.

Yup and they don't need a price cut either or Activision support. I swear Sony may have the most cocky statements ever.

Which is why PSN performance CONTINUES to be f@#king $#!tty.  Can't even get 4 or 5 SFIV matches with someone before the dreaded 'lost connection' message.

Is it any coincidence I don't have that issue with XBL?

You get what you pay for, kinda hard to support the service adequately from limited revenue. I would imagine their user base would be larger since it is free for all thus degrading network performance even more?

So how come I don't get disconnects on XBL?  Ever?  Perhaps TSTT install some anti-SFIV-on-PSN firmware on
my modem that I don't know about? :laughing7:

I can't even switch if I wanted...and I done already decide I not giving Flow any more money.
So XBL it is...at least for SFIV.  All others, including SOCOM work fine.

well arc alot of ppl on my friends list experience problems wit blink
take ninja for instance
accordin to him he an Limit cant play R2 together cuz both on blink an it doesnt work, so das why i used to had to host d party jus for them to play R2
2nd he always experiences problems wen hosting d chat room on ps3

Limit got disconnected during our clan match against apprentice in kz2 also. he was d only 1 on my team with blink.

so yea ah think it safe to say is blink f&%kin up

Flow >>> Blink
Blink thiefin ppl money
i payin less for 15Mbps than Blink does charge for "up" to 10Mbps

Well, I guess everyone has their own experiences.  For the most part, mine is not what you described there.

I will admit though, Flow's prices are 'better', but after what I see they doing with the
cable-TV service with respect to these so-called 'packages' and rates...well, let the sucking
of the nutz (mine :)) commence.

What would happen if the Flow service in your area goes down:  you just lost TV and internet.
Sorry, I just can't go for that.

flow is very reliable where i live. hardly ever goes down and if it does it's not for more than an hour.

@Arc
When flow internet goes down the cable does not go down

it on two separate lines or something. Both have never gone at the same time.

An opinion should be the result of thought, not a substitute for it.

Hey :hello: I just wanted to say that with regards to my PS Store purchase query, I bought one from Maximus Cards http://www.maximuscards.com/index.php?ref=wtfzmtv32c and all is well. I'll be getting another soon.

Thanks to all who had suggestions and options posted. This is really a forum for learning.

By the way, that bypassing region blocking allows you to do what exactly regarding the PS Store? I know it can be used in other areas but I wasn't clear on what it aided with in the PS Store (or PSN)
