Hey guys apparently this entropay thing works well for using the PSN store.
I showed the link posted here to one of my UWI lecturers who is a big gamer and he's already gone and used it.
Says it works fine and appears to be very secure. Tekken here I come.

I read up on it...And I sawthat you need to confirm credit card etc with them....and in some cases show documentation that youcan pay bills etc.....
It seemed like a hassle so I didn't bother....

^just tested "Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War" on my PS3...and it worked...

So PS2 games not playing?
Shiv, restore your ps3 to default system settings...

Other than that, backup the PS3 using the backup utility...and then do a restore ps3 to factory. (i.e. fresh install of 2.40)
THen restore your data from the backup HDD you used...

One of the above should do it....
If not...well you will have to wait for an update....

I reading bout a couple glitches occuring of which one occured on me already, opened the PS Store and ps3 froze (thats a first).

@ sending text in a game..
Well after a year of having to exit a game to send a message...I'd say its a big improvement.
Also just purchased Super Stardust HD...looking forward to earning some ~~achievements~~ trophies.

Sony is working on the voice implementation though...
This be just stage 1 of their rollout.

To get the trophy system out so devs could start patching their games etc..

SONY has pulled 2.4....(and they damn right) for the wide number of problems being reported.

i would like to EDUCATE some people about what has just happened.

1. If you THINK a company like SONY or MICROSOFT knows what they are doing with respect to these "updates" PLEASE think again

You are dealing with Technical expertise (programmers, IT etc) vs Creative expertise (Artists, Designers) and that causes HELLA problems. My point? They dont see eye to eye, the cant tell each others moves, they dont ADDRESS all the problems and THIS sh!t happens.

If you cant seem to understand what I am saying, then im WAY over your head with design theory. Bottom line, they skip bugs.....they have skipped the addressing of regular DVD's on the XMB and certain PS2 game saves on the XMB....this coupled with the unfinished code could cause corruption of certain software.

I am hearing a full format is in need for people like myself that have this issue. Its not a hardware problem.

This is STRAIGHT up Game Management Theory. The most BASIC things are what these companies are lacking.

SONY need LICKS!!! and then some PLAN@SS for Microsoft too.

The only blasted thing i hear working, is my friggin Falcon Northwest PC (knocks on wood)

i just did a FULL format on my PS3.....took 4 hours
it does not remove the 2.4 update....so im still f$cked. It plays EVERYTHING else and does EVERYTHING else except play PS2 games.

SHiv mines works perfectly with all my ps2 games man and a couple ps1 games. guess it's only a few individuals.

^very random errors with all models...

For me, a couple freezes with remote play...that is when accessing the ps store....
but ps2 games work...

So....sigh....

im hoping this issue is fixed. It cant read a single PS2 game.
I put in one, it loads, switches resolution and then sticks at a blank screen.

Of course I have to turn on the PS3 controller. It turns on and syncs fine, the PS3 is on and running, but nothing is working.
