SONY CONSOLE HACKER Geohot has denied having anything to do with the massive Playstation Network (PSN) security breach.
George Hotz, who uses the handle 'Geohot' and recently settled with Sony after it had sued him for alleged Playstation 3 (PS3) copyright violations, said he wasn't responsible for hacking Sony's PSN and Qriocity services.
In fact, Hotz went so far as to say the breach, which reportedly stole the personal information of PSN users, gave hackers a bad name. He said that it played into the hands of Sony management who want to declare war on hackers and portray them as bad.
"And to anyone who thinks I was involved in any way with this, I'm not crazy, and would prefer to not have the FBI knocking on my door," Geohot wrote on his blog.
"Running homebrew and exploring security on your devices is cool, hacking into someone elses server and stealing databases of user info is not cool.
"You make the hacking community look bad, even if it is aimed at douches like Sony," he added.
Hotz built up a following after Sony filed a lawsuit against him for hacking the PS3 console. Sony even tried to suggest he had gone on the run to South America as the company wanted make him an example to deter other hackers.
The result was that Geohot gained active support from the online hacktivist group Anonymous and received significant donations to a fund for his legal defence, the remainder of which he gave to the Electronic Frontier Foundation. µ

As for the comparison that T&T has bad service is because we don't complain. That's FAR to much of a generalization and simplification of the PROBLEMS that exist in the Trinbagonian Service industry (less so much our sister isle).
Trinidad suffers from a horrific service quality issue because of many sociological factors. Poverty, poor education, bad social programs for those in need, miseducation of the less fortunate by horrible influencing figures (bleach out our skin anyone). Don't make a simple comparison of the Sony issue with Trinidad. If you want to make a comparison, then compare apples to at LEAST sugar apples.

Compare the POOR service in Sony to a KFC or something? For instance, in KFC you BUY a product (say a snack pack) and there is no ketchup in the dispencer and the employees don't seem to care and have you waiting LONG for a refill. I think that would be a MUCH more appropriate example.

That being said, let's look at the comparison. The condiments are a VALUE ADD in KFC. They don't HAVE to put it there. They COULD make ALL their outlets 'drive through' so you have no SEATING. All the value adds. Have you EVER seen anyone complain about the service in KFC? I HAVE, in fact I HAVE MYSELF. Has that changed anything? NO. So the problem with poor service in KFC will NOT simply be solved by complaining, however it was a VALID point made on this forum in the gaming thread about piracy. VOTE WITH YOUR WALLETS. I don't like the service in KFC so I AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE. If everyone in T&T did the same they would either improve OR withdraw. Same with Sony, they have made a massive fumble with the ball so to speak, they are mishandling PR and giving themselves a bad name. That's there problem and IF they do make amends HORAY! if not, make your difference with your wallet. Complaints only rinse out ppl ears.

Just to point out another flaw in your comparison. If T&T had better GOVERNING BODIES that fined or penalized organizations for poor service, it would make large stride toward better service in T&T. E.g. TATT, I had a problem with TSTT where I lost service for 3+ weeks. It was ONLY resolved when I contacted TATT and even then it took 2 more weeks to solve. I won't publicly express what I think of TATT (hint it's NOT pretty) but in this case it was an avenue for me to try to rectify the problem with a regulating body. Do ALL the service industries in this country have such a regulating body that they HAVE to answer to? even if there are, do they ACTUALLY DO ANYTHING? Are they HONEST? or are they corrupt like SO much of T&T regulations bodies?

No din try that, but it works on my 21", and is becuase, i have d HP LP3065 Monitor.
Which aparantly only accepts 2560*1600 resolution via dual link dvi cable.

PS3 only outputs 1080p max, so i screwed!
Right now i checking out ah new 30" , eye on d Dell U3011, either that.
Or ah cheap 42/32" LCD TV or something.

Cause i not wasting d GOW3 expereince, on ah 21! "

the HP have hdcp support eh... is the resolution thing that messing him up...

all new monitors come with hdcp... and most now coming with HDMI and/or Display Port to

I believe that monitor should work, the only problem is the monitor is a 16:10 ratio and not 16:9 which is the PS3 standard and the standard aspect ratio for most tv hd content.

It might look slightly stretched.
