The PS2 still selling. That fact surprised me.
That article makes a lot of sense. A lot of parents just aren't willing to shell out
400 US and up for a PS3, so it makes a lot of them would naturally gravitate to the PS2.

Not just that. The sales reps who trying to make their commission will market the PS2 as "all the best games" and "games still being made for the system". To be honest they are very right. If someone is out to buy a console, and still never owned a PS2, yet along a PS3...do they REALLY need to buy one?
Many would say yes. But if these people never bought a PS2 during the reign of PS2, with SO MANY opportunities available to get one, why would they want a PS3 that is nearly twice the price. A VERY good reason the PS2 is still selling.....including small companies that cannot afford the barrier for entry of a PS3 title can work on a PS2 one, not to mention the number of people being laid off these days who have PS2 experience and can move to the small companies.

Also, the SEVERELY misinformed people. I watched in Gamestop yesterday a couple went in to buy a PS3, and said it was too expensive. THen the guy asked if PS2 had Blu Ray......yea....But instead of laughing at him, you can simply see how uninformed the public is towards the consoles as well.
