But hes a big guy, worse case he would have been slapped some more, but using a metal pipe was a bit excessive. He was just dumb to do that, if he had stayed calm and defended himself with his arms...the women would have been charged with assault, instead of him now facing charges and going back to jail over $50....

dem cuss him because store policy say check large bills to see if they real. dem attack him first. dem chase HIM down. he take the first thing, and defend himself. that pipe not no thik heavy pipe. look like a part for the fryer or stove dat was just laying around, not someting he had waiting under the counter to buss some1 head with. and he wasn beating them continuous. he put them down, and keep dem down when they was trying to get back up.

Unfortunately the law is not about common sense in most countries. Nor is it about situations and feelings, so he protect himself the way he knows how therefore he goes to jail.

yes the people that jump certainly deserve what they get... but you cant deal with situations in a silo.. you must take prior actions into account

As much as I feel ppl should pay for their sins (and I DO), how do prior bad acts deny him the right to defend himself? The lesson from that to me is the same as a warning about casual sex:

"Be careful who you f*ck with... You don't know where they've been."

See the part I underlined? There is no "but" after that for me. NOW SELF they should've left him alone. They tried rankin ting on de WRONG nyugga. That is ALL.

I 'kinda' agree with phoenix there, because: 1. he's an ex-con (for murder), and 2. he's black.  (He should have considered them two things)

2 strikes right there.  Strike 3 would have been this azz whuppin...with a 'weapon' no less.

In the American court of public opinion, he's already 'guilty', regardless of the circumstances.

I hope though, that the actual court looks at the situation for how it occurred, and 'maybe', he might get a 'fair' trial.

I just hope he has a really good defense-lawyer.

@ Q.. i didnt say he dont have a right to defend himself... but he didnt just defend himself... he was hitting the people while they were on the ground lol, and he has a history of violence so.. that has to be taking into account

in all fairness the jury or whoever have to take the whole situation into account as well, so their may be mitigating circumstances... the jury might even sympathize with him when they see the hooligans that jump the counter

and also as arc said... HEEE shouldve considered those 2 things before he start bashing in people head on the floor

no. he hit dem to the ground den he pause and when they was getting up he hit dem again. no lol.

all of you who say he went overboard, only saying dat because you see the video. you have to judge based on what HE knew at the time b4 saying it was unreasonable man clearly had the pipe in hand and them was STILL coming at him. he beat both down, make sure the big one was down, den work on the small one who we DOH KNOW what she was doing. when biggie try to get back up, he say something and put her back down. den he pause again, then we hear the pipe.

same speed, half of the noise on the video is pipe hitting metal counters and ting. because is NOT a good weapon for beating on ppl. too long too thin. but is what came to hand when he needed it.

as long as dem still coming at you dem still a threat. you dont know what dem have in a pocket, or in purse.


too besides de only reason you vex with him is because you KNOW he pay for a crime in the past. you know anything about them two women? you know anything about how ppl does get on crazy and vandalise inside fast food stores off of kicks? you know anything about how a man get beat bad by some fellas up in de same area outside a macdonalds this year just for wearing pink shoelaces? or allyuh looking at dem two inside a silo?

if it was a woman who put down two men like dat, allyuh would be singing the same tune?

^ VERY true, especially the gender issue. Had it been a female, the chant would've been "WOMAN POWER" instead of "He's an ex-con".

Besides, who's to say he DIDN'T take that into consideration? He left the counter and WALKED AWAY. From the time I see they JUMPED the counter in a PUBLIC franchise in go after a RETREATING employee, the time for diplomacy was clearly over and all bets were OFF.

The police are a different matter. They have a sworn duty to protect and serve us so it's obvious that they will be held to a higher standard (as they should be). No rocket science there.
