To be fair, even with "good" parenting, you still get the "baddess and players". It's culture. Our culture her in T&T, as much as we may deny it, is HEAVILY influenced by the fast paste, care free American culture, as well as those of the other islands. We say poor parenting, but the circumstances in which these individuals are born into can't be helped. Society has failed them in replacing those parental figures, and even when society tries, it's up to those individuals to listen. Even with corporal punishment u still had it. Our educational institutions are merely that, academically oriented institutions which are far from geared to handle the social problems faced in the home as well as the schools themselves. We have an abundance of teachers who don't like their jobs and because they have a piece of paper from UWI or UTT, can't get jobs anywhere else, go into teaching and don't go beyond their call of duty far less care for the individuals they are influencing.

Bottom line is.. the issues are far to vast to pin point any one issue causing all these problems, as pheonix said, its a compilation of multiple issues that need to be addressed.

I'd also like to point out that, at the end of the day, you always have a choice. Yes I know people come from broken homes etc. but not every child from such a family comes out bad. Case in point even those with a "good" family can end up choosing the wrong path.

its a sorta domino effect... is not like this generation just woke up into it... it has been in motion and slowly degrading... and based on different aspects it has of course accelerated etc...

This past Sunday was a nightmare for me. Imagine, me trying to launch VIDEO ARMAGEDDON and the newest Duelist Kingdom tournament only for the bastards to cut the power and cause me to cancel! They didn't even give me any advanced warning.

I may have gotten the place back for free in 2 weeks, but I know somebody's going to burn if this happens again.
