I honestly don't give a flying F^&K if the death penalty is a deterrant or not, I don't see why MY tax payers dollars are paying for the upkeep (regardless of how bad) of criminals who KNOWINGLY commited heineous crimes affect countless ppl. All this pro life crap about rehabilitation and keeping the evils of society locked away permanently SOLVES NOTHING. How many countries first world even have been able to rehabilitate and RE-introduce and RE-integrate serial killers? or serial rapist? or serial pedophiles? Just short of putting them on a large farm where they work hard labour the rest of their lives where society benefits do I see ANYTHING but the death penalty a solution. And its not just murders and castrations is too easy imho. Does anyone even consider the mental repercussions of when a person is affected by crimes 'not as serious as murder'? how many families cope with rape or molestation? Dread you give me super powers and I guarantee i'll reduce the population of this country SUBSTANTIALY. All the pussies that think the death penalty isn't the way to go can kiss a pokemon and sing and dance in the rain with pedophiles who are on hallucinogens and think you're a 5 year old naked boy.

If business owners start packing, criminals will just execute you before you even have a chance to pull that gun you have under the counter.Have you ever been to the bad areas of the BRONX in NY? Bullet proof glass is installed, customers have to talk to the person behind the counter through little holes. Merchandise and money is passed through a bullet proof box that opens on one side at a time. Perhaps that is the next step in customer service....Training the police force not to accept bribes? Try paying them more so the bribe doesn't look so appealing, or making sure they are well educated and trained. Screen them before letting them join. Background checks on everyone applying to the police force, psychological tests and screening...It takes alot to implement. If they do that, then its a start. Otherwise we could talk till we blue in the face, nothing will change. It will only get worse..i have lived in bk and bronx for a few years amongst other places. I know what its like. And what you pointed out about the policeis where law enforcement needs to goBut gun ownership is not a deterrent to crimeit never was and never will bethe reason americans have guns is not cause the founding fathers saw it as a way to deter crimeit was to have the opportunity to fight an oppressive government or invading regimeit was an error in foresight to leave that shit in the constituition for the normies to get guns

It have anyone in this forum who say do kill d bastards! I just fine all yuh men rantin rather than looking at the situation from the perspective of something that can truly be beneficial. My personal views:1/ Hang murderers in the square2/ Castrate rapist and child molesters3/ Chop off the hands of the thieves4/ Whip the ass of drug traffickersAnd all with fair prison sentence. We could sprout these statements all we want, but it en goin and happen. But if it did happen, I bet it would deter crime. My initial rant was all about trying to have minor offenders integrated back as beneficial members to society. For these people, rehabilitation may be better than just punishment. But somebody who rob, rape and kill deserves no mercy imo. How could we let the government know that the mass populous say KILL D BASTARDS! I think panday right to re-implement the death penalty, and if i ever get into power, those 4 things listed above will be high on my agenda! We go see who is badder man!
Synchronomyst, you wife and daughter just got raped and killed in front your eyes, they chop off the head of yuh aging mother, and leave you tied to a tree in some remote forested area...trust me, your "humanitarian" view will change. We not dealing with people in trinidad any more, is only ah set ah "beasts"...
oh gosh man, drop the act nah.stop trying to over analyze everything. All i am trying to say is that, the majority of people who feel like death penalty etc, is the only way, and that harsh punishments is the only way, is because they may have been directly or indirectly affected by some form of violent crime. People tend to feel harsh forms of punishment is the only form of justice. All i am saying is, were you in the 'boots' of the people facing those scenarios, you would most likely feel the way they do.My concern is that Justice should be the most important aspect of the whole argument.
