It was definitely related to a Symantec product, but something dating back to 2005.

hmm, until i switched the machines here to mc afee
we were using symantec antivirus suite 2010
and it used to dump gigs and gigs of dat files on random peoples hds to the point it was completely filled
never got a solution from symantec so had to just keep deleting those files

The 400 million won (£220,000) unit was installed last month at a guard post in the central section of the Demilitarised Zone which bisects the peninsula, Yonhap news agency said.
 

It quoted an unidentified military official as saying the ministry would deploy sentry robots along the world's last Cold War frontier if the test was successful.

The robot uses heat and motion detectors to sense possible threats, and alerts command centres, Yonhap said.

If the command centre operator cannot identify possible intruders through the robot's audio or video communications system, the operator can order it to fire its gun or 40mm automatic grenade launcher.

South Korea is also developing highly sophisticated combat robots armed with weapons and sensors that could complement human soldiers on battlefields.

It has a largely conscripted military of 655,000 against Pyongyang's 1.2 million-strong force, but a falling birth rate means Seoul will struggle in the future to maintain troop numbers.

Hmm would it be possible to limit access on the cable box? As in only allow basic/premium package with no access/option to PPV? Just wondering how this could be prevented in future short of just removing cable altogether.

I assumed the monthly rental was for insurance, seems it isn't. Most likey the cable box is some alien technology that's priceless so they charge up to $2000 to replace it plus the $25 monthly rental.

The hardest thing to understand is how u could take any box from anywhere and put it on any connection and it would work and you could run up charges on the real owner's account. Technically it come like stealing someone's post paid phone.

Well at least the people that stole it gonna have their names in a police record, hope they happy they eh get away with the deed.

A piece of advice: Ensure outright the your report is entered into the station diary in your presence. Too many of those officers like to write thing on notepad and 'personal diary' and scraps of paper..
