apprentice, had site selling groceries online YEARS ago. It just didn't work out for them. Not very practical to order a bag of rice and wait 48hrs for delivery.

Nor would you pay $80.00 for rush delivery. People bawling for food prices as is, let alone tacking on substantial delivery charges. lol

Would only make sense for bulk purchases and unless you beating pricemart, you're not going to get the masses buying from you.

Tech and Niche items are the best bet. Trinis run into a major problem with the first. Once a trini can buy online why would he buy tech on a local site for a higher price as opposed to off amazon.com??

That just leaves Niche really.

Actually with the rising crime having your groceries delivered could be a very lucrative niche, esp if you were to say get an entire gated community to order from you forthnightly. Heck even in the states, groceries delivery is regular, esp in cities like NYC where you travel to and from EVERYWHERE all the time, its hard to toat 10 bags of groceries a few blks, just get it delivered, my cousin does it all the time to his apt. The trick is landing and securing communities to make it cost effective.

If pricemart starts to offer the service, with free delivery, then you have a compelling argument.

I'd love not to deal with that ridiculous cashier line on a weekend.

imyself and know of many others, that only buy games online or away cause i cant find a single stinking place to buy my pc games original

i go to game stores and see walls of stupid console games and a lil chunky section with pc games with nothing i want. I cant even find flikkin cod 4 for pc, steups, beggin dem to take my money, no sir, your money no good here, mr superman no here no no..aye.. no mr superman no here.

You guys seem to forget that not everyone is as blessed as others. There are lots of teens/young adults that aren't computer literate or have even used a computer before.

QFT! It's even worse when you get people who want to learn about computers, but looks to do so by going to an A+ course.

However, it should be said that there are those who don't know and WANT to know, and those who don't know and couldn't be bothered to want to know.

Case in point, one of my friends often asks me to look up for stuff online, cuz she "can't find it". I ask what she's looking for, copy/paste her exact words into Google, chances are I get the info in like the first 5 links, and send it. You mean to tell me that using Google is so hard?
