-WTMC @ ordering a laptop for just under $1200 US on Sunday (and acknowledged as such in an email yesterday), to only just receive a confirmation email today, which lists the price as $1866 US...and no clear reason as to such...I pray it's just an error though.

Well this isn't anything to do with their computers itself (yet!)...

It's more a sales dept issue...my current Dell laptop actually served me quite well, that took quite a hell of a beating over the past couple of years...maybe I was one of the lucky ones...but idk.

Dell's service imo is among one of the best actually so IF there's a problem and you're under warranty, there's nothing to worry about. Hopefully SPK's problem is just a typo because $700us is no chump change.

Well Dell responded today, cancelled the order and filed a new one with the correct pricing...so that's settled for now...but a month to wait for delivery (according to online estimates)...
