WTMC @ upgrading my PC to a Gigabyte P35 board + Q6600 and only realising afterwards that my Line6 TonePort KB37 has issues with Intel Chipset USB ports, and there isn't a work around so far :S

...so i spent hundreds of $$'s on hardware that can't work in harmony ...something/someone needs to be thrown against a wall!!

you could prob try a USB add in card, it not on the Intel chipset controller, worth a shot.

That's a really good idea, but consider this... what does the PCI bus run off of?
Is it the P35 Northbridge, or the ICH9 Southbridge?

Looking at the diagram here doesn't make it too clear, but a PCI USB card is only about $75. I say go for it. You have nothing to lose at this point.

had looked up a similar diagram (for the ga-ep35-ds3/r) was hoping maybe a few of the 10 or so USBs was on a jmicron...no such luck.

thanks for the help guys, but i've already tried the USB to PCI (Via Chipset) option, and the same stutter. i just got back from Sax in an attempt at maybe the loaned PCIe x1 to USB (NEC Chipset) card would solve the issue. no such luck tho

...really don't know what to do now.

When the announcement of 2 HD4870s for sale in the Trading Grounds causes a near fish market of offers for many other video cards, last year's cards; 8800GT(S) as low as $700 while stocks last! LOL
