Just because you come contesting me and trying to think you better than me and I school you by putting a 2 car length on you and I happen to give you the curtesy of my hazard lights, why do you have to resort to the typical ricer flyby and give me the finger. Such sore loosers man. Mr Black PAP 2 door Mazda 929 with a chrome exhaust barrel.

The sad state of our world...
Quote
Pregnant woman's torturers jailed
Donna O'Neill, victim Tammy McGregor, and Lee Holt [Pictures: Newsline]
O'Neill and Holt subjected their victim (centre) to a "wicked" ordeal
A man and woman who kidnapped, stripped and tortured a pregnant teenager with learning difficulties have been jailed for a total of 17 years.

Tammy McGregor, 19, had hot salted water poured over her wounds and cigarettes stubbed out on her at a flat in Aberdeen.

Lee Holt, 27, and Donna O'Neill, 21, admitted assault, causing severe injury and permanent disfigurement.

At the High Court in Edinburgh, Holt received nine years and O'Neill eight.

The judge, Lord Bracadale, said that they had subjected their victim to a long and sustained experience of torture over several hours.

To subject a vulnerable woman to the kind of physical and mental torture that day beggars belief
Grampian Police statement

The judge added that such examples of calculated wickedness were rare.

Relatives of Ms McGregor told BBC Scotland they were "delighted" with the sentence after what she had endured.

Ms McGregor's ordeal began when she was lured to a tenement flat in the city's Park Road in September last year.

There the accused tied her up, beat her, slashed her with a knife, stubbed out cigarettes on her head and body and threatened to kill her.

Alerted police

Ms McGregor was described as having a mental age of 12 and was terrified.

Holt was Ms McGregor's former lover and the attack happened after it was claimed she had spread rumours that he was a rapist.

Her face was so badly swollen doctors could not operate on her immediately and she had to use a wheelchair for three months.

She also suffered a broken nose and jaw and needed treatment to cuts all over her body.

My friend phoned the police while I kept Donna O'Neill occupied talking until the police arrived
James Murray

Torturer 'not the brightest boy'

James Murray was visiting a friend at the flats in Park Road on the day the torture took place.

They managed to alert police after Holt came to tell them what was going on.

Mr Murray told BBC Scotland: "We didn't know whether to believe him or not as it was a little bit surreal.

"It was only later when Donna O'Neill came to the flat and Lee Holt went back downstairs and Donna actually confirmed what was going on that we clicked.

"My friend phoned the police while I kept Donna O'Neill occupied talking until the police arrived."

Grampian Police said in a statement: "This was an appalling attack on a vulnerable and defenceless young woman. No-one deserves to be subjected to the kind of terrifying ordeal Lee Holt and Donna O'Neill put her through.

"To subject a vulnerable woman to the kind of physical and mental torture that day beggars belief.

"Only time will tell how she will recover physically and emotionally. It is to be hoped today's sentence will help her get over the events of last September and get on with her life."

8 and 9 years don't even begin to cut it imho....

and then there's....

More than 170 dead in Iraq blasts -> JUST UPDATE THIS....sighs....

A US troop "surge" has not stopped insurgent attacks

At least 157 people have been killed in a string of attacks in Iraq's capital, Baghdad - the worst day of violence since a US security operation began.

In the deadliest incident, some 115 people were killed in a car bombing in a food market in Sadriya district.

Another 42 died in an attack on police in Sadr City and several other blasts.

The attacks came as Prime Minister Nouri Maliki said Iraqi forces would assume control of the country's security by the end of the year.

On Monday, the Iraqi parliament bloc loyal to radical cleric Moqtada Sadr withdrew from the cabinet, demanding Mr Maliki set a timetable for a US troop withdrawal.

'Burned alive'

The bomb in Shia-dominated Sadriya was reportedly left in a parked car and exploded at about 1600 (1200 GMT) in the middle of a crowd of workers and shoppers.

BAGHDAD ATTACKS
Locations of Baghdad bombs
Sadriya: Car bomb kills at least 115 at market
Sadr City: Car bomb kills at least 30 at checkpoint
Karrada: Car bomb near private hospital kills at least 10
al-Shurja: Minibus bomb kills at least two people

Bombs mar handover plan
In pictures: Baghdad carnage

The market was being rebuilt after it was destroyed by a bombing in February which killed more than 130 people.

The powerful bomb started a fire which swept over cars and minibuses parked nearby, burning many people and sending a large plume of smoke over Baghdad.

Television pictures showed a blasted scene littered with blackened and twisted wreckage.

One witness told the Reuters news agency that many of the victims were women and children.

"I saw dozens of dead bodies," the man said. "Some people were burned alive inside minibuses. Nobody could reach them after the explosion.

"There were pieces of flesh all over the place."

Ahmed Hameed, a shopkeeper in the area said: "The street was transformed into a swimming pool of blood."

About an hour earlier, a suicide car bomb attack on a police checkpoint in Sadr City killed 30 people.

Another parked car bomb killed at least 10 people near a hospital in the Karrada district of Baghdad, while in al-Shurja district at least two people were killed by a bomb left on a minibus.

Hospitals in Baghdad were inundated with more than 200 injured people, many of them with serious burns from the bomb at the Sadriya market.

Car and suicide bombings have occurred almost daily in Baghdad in recent months, despite a US-led security crackdown since February.

The bombers are proving that they can slip through the tightened security net and defy the clampdown, says the BBC's Jim Muir in Baghdad.

Security handover

Most of the attacks have been in Shia areas, increasing pressure for the Shia militias to step up their campaign of reprisal killings against the Sunni community in which the insurgents are based, says our correspondent.

As Baghdad was rocked by explosions, security in Maysan province to the south was transferred from British to Iraqi control.

MAJOR ATTACKS
6 March 2007: 90 killed in double suicide bombing in Hilla
3 Feb 2007: 130 killed in lorry bomb in Baghdad's market in mainly Shia area
2 Dec 2006: More than 50 killed in car bombs in same Baghdad market
23 Nov 2006: 200 killed in wave of car bombings and mortar blasts in Baghdad's Shia Sadr City
7 April 2006: 85 killed in triple suicide bombing at Shia mosque in Baghdad

Maysan is the fourth of the country's 18 provinces to be handed over to Iraqi security control.

Iraq's national security adviser Mowaffak al-Rubaie said the three provinces of the autonomous Kurdish region would be next.

"Then it will be province by province until we achieve [the complete transfer] before the end of the year," he said in a speech at the handover ceremony delivered on behalf of Prime Minister Maliki.

But analysts say that even if Iraqi forces take the lead in providing security across the country, US and other coalition troops will have to remain in support for some time.

The attacks in Baghdad came as officials from more than 60 countries attended a UN conference in Geneva on the plight of Iraqi refugees.

The UN estimates up to 50,000 people flee the violence in Iraq each month.

Reminders that the world is going the hell and a handbag... or whatever the expression is...

damn @ last 2 posts above

- getting THIS motherboard which normally retails for THIS price online for just TT$800!!! Brand new!
(sorry fellas, it was a rare unexpected one-time offer I get that I really couldn't refuse)

- reaching home @ 2:30pm in haste with new board, 1GB DDR2-667 RAM and a GF6200 video card only to find that there is neither power or water!

- when you so desperate to power up board you use every last bit of juice in UPS just to make it post.. then UPS cuts off about 60 seconds later

- when power never returns till 6pm

- when power goes again just 5 minutes later

- when in both outages the battery on your UPS doesn't even last 3 minutes (given it's 750VA and I've had it for 3+ years. Yeah, I need a new battery)

well good/evil is a very subjective matter :) from Akatsuki perspective, they aren't evil, just misunderstood :p also Akatsuki want to rule the world, the admins rule the forum (and secretly planning to take over the world pinky) so its fitting. That and let's face it Akatsuki are the total pwnage they have skills above the rest of the naruverse  (more or less) so anyone with a high enough post count is along those lines...
