"The Empire" strikes back:

Right after the meeting briefing on Monday, I left the school forthwith, quite shocked and annoyed, but mostly hungry. Just as I left the compound, the Ministry calls me to be in charge of testing laptops at Tranquil. I immediately go to the school to inform them, as I am alumni of that school.

I work out all the logistics with them.
Today comes and despite a few snags, it was a successful testing session with help from the staff.

Around noon, I got a call from the ministry stating that I had to report to a school in Couva for testing tomorrow.

About half hour before I am done testing, I get a call from my supervisor in the Ministry stating that I will not be partaking  in any further laptop testing until further notice and I am to report to "my school" in the morning. Apparently the Principal of "my school" called and made a stink, most likely at HoD's ranting.

I guess the two and a half days I stayed home like it get to them. I can't understand how the principal didn't know I was on laptop duty:

In said meeting Monday, he told me CLEARLY that I am to report to the IT Teachers and THEY would forward anything of importance concerning me to him.

Yesterday morning I came in at 6am to ensure that they had the keys they wanted. I stapled a handwritten not to the key stating that I would NOT be at school Tuesday and Wednesday. I left this note and keys on the IT teachers desk. She is usually the first to arrive and unlock the room and would have certainly seen the note. The laptop testing call would have ensured I would not be in school on Thursday. Then I left the compound.

It was up to the IT teachers to inform him, as per HIS directive. WTF is the issue now?

Oh well, time to get my "pap smear"/"umbrella up my ass"/"ball and chain around neck", as per the very humorous comments made to by my fellow Techies in good fun as we tested the laptops after I informed them of the situation.

Well at least Principal will be meeting with the ministry official soon, and I may finally get a chance to speak.

Yes, use any opportunity to lay it ALL on the table. Just be mindful that after the ministry gone they'll put you back under the stairs whilst the fat cousin eats all the food... You should also start looking for a different job, so you can tell them to Htmc instead of being in the WDMC end of things.

Hmm well a sort of workaround anyway. The digits before the end of the url denote post number, each page displays 20 posts so you could technically view by post number eg.

this would take you to page 2 as the 21st post is on page 2.

It isn't the most intuitive way but at least you can jump from post to post :p

I was shocked in early September last year when I picked up the paper to to see a picture of the husband in the obituaries - he died  on august 28... still have the fool's number on my phone...

I was heavily tempted to send the wife a 'condolences card' asking "look who's resting now?"
(Then again.. there is august 28 2011 to make up...)

It was the wife who called my phone from a blocked number and made those silly statements. I wonder if the business will survive seeing that he was the man running the show?

WTMC @ me finally beating Castlevania II: Simon's Quest. Not "Finally" as in I've been trying for years, though. I've had it on NES since I was a young'un and never beat it. Emulator iymc.

This, Zelda... A lot of those old school games were SO not for kids. Big hoss like me and my nerves were shot to SH!T after playing Castlevania II in the dark. Down to the music is freaky. o_O

And back then that was state of the art graphics eh... so we were really immersed in the whole thing.
I remember as a kid gettin real scared off of games like beetlejuice, Ninja Gaiden 2, Monsters in my pocket and Friday the 13th.

Those were some good times....
