There's a lot of things that are being said that are so hurtful and untrue, but easiest to accept because it's so simple to do. I already said I wasn't posting in there anymore, but for those here who also read across there, I can answer a couple of issues being raised. You don't have to bring it up on there though.

For example - one took my statement that one of the guys who would normally go with me, didn't go with me but with the other car, and took it to mean because it meant that the person didn't go with me because "the other guy was the most sober one to drive..."

The reason that the person didn't go with me was because earlier that day, they were with me and my car had shut down...twice...so I'd bet they were concerned that it would happen again. That's another reason as to why I'd dispute any claims of overly speeding, my vehicle has been giving trouble to the point where it's difficult for me to even coax that vehicle up to 100km/h on a highway...and if I was so intoxicated as some people want to think, why didn't the police hit me up with a breathalyser test at the station etc, or arrest me for DUI?

Another factor was that they were asking why I was so far ahead of the other vehicles at the time of the accident, and that I should have been looking in the rearview mirror to see what was going on with them, and that I wasn't being a very good head of the convoy...

I don't know about you all, but a distance of < 50m approx. isn't exactly "far ahead" when driving a convoy, considering the impact point wasn't much more than 2-3 seconds after the Hilux passed my vehicle. As the head of the convoy, sure I'd be trying to watch out what they were doing, but I can't exactly be watching my rearview mirror every second. To boot, I had stated before to them that I had flashed my headlights at the Hilux on approach with my vehicle, in addition to decelerating and pulling closer to the left edge of the road as a precautionary method...I don't know how much more I could have done in the situation. In spite of all this, they said I was a poor leader, and I feel like I failed them even though I did what I could...

Sorry for the rant btw, but it's been a stressful week. I just hope that the rumours don't lead to anyone being charged for anything on either side of the accident, it's already bad enough that 4 lives have been lost, don't need any more to be destroyed from this ...

i find that very hard for you since you were with ur frens one sec and they were gone the next. that thread on tuner is very no matter the reasoning behind the accident. if the places were reversed i doubt they would act in a similar manner. i know your frens are in a better place. i knew the father of the girl and knew it didn't take it well at all and i could imagine the other relatives and frens. some ppl really have no respect for the dearly departed

Sax, do what I did and just ignore that thread at this point, I'm fed up of having to try to explain some of the circumstances around that whole accident (and not incident like how some people preferred to refer to it in there)...It's easy for them to speculate and blame etc, but life is too short to take on those kinds of idiots. I've seen how short it can be first-hand...

The next WTMC I can't give out too many details surrounding it, but a very basic gist:

-WTMC @ one of the guys who died, his family were having their lives threatened by a jilted lover of one of the female members of the household...that is some of the most outta-timing scenes I've heard in a while...

...but seriously, I've had my PC 'cut off' on me during some intense OC sessions, and due to the overtemp
failsafe built into my PSU, that bastard WOULD NOT turn on until it cooled down, which had my heart skipping
quite a few beats in the past, so I kinda know what you're going through.

Well, I left the PSU unplugged for about half hour. What it would do is *sometimes* throw on the mobo power llight for about 2 seconds and die.

The other 90% of the time it just sits there. Im pretty sure its dead.

ATM, I have an ancient S12 (Seasonic) 430w powering the rig sans one of the cards. Will have to do until I get another unit, perhaps the HX850.

This one (750TX) lasted just about 15 months (two major upgrades) with about 9 of those months working 24/7.

Still, i did not get my money's worth but am still willing to give Corsair a chance.

This reminds me, I have to RMA my 1000Watt PSU that so badly off that I can't even watch a youtube video without it cutting off... it only works when the computer is idle..

All these in operation pc shut downs reminds me of the time when I bought a socket a mainboard and processor from a fellow GATT member and the CPU fan dies while listening to music. Tried to use a volcano 11 to cool it, no luck. So I had to sell it off and put back an old athlon xp 2800 I had, I remember having to hurtfully part with it (athlon xp 3200). I remember the guy I sold it to being more than happy!
