Men doh realize that whilst we KNOW it's bad, that's NOT the picture you want to paint of the country on the world stage. foreign investment drives our economy and if they are too afraid to invest in T&T we'll be stuck anyways. So whilst I think we shouldn't paint it all rosey with bunny rabbits, we definitely can't paint it as a war torn middle east country either.

If the Government truly cared about the image of Trinidad & Tobago, they would have done this "clean-up" act a long time ago. But instead, it takes a Summit with Heads of State for them to do something. That shows how much they really care about Trinidad and it's citizens. Put on a show for a few days, attract investment, fool them, and then go back to making the citizens suffer when it done.

Pfft. What a waste of time and tax payer money, since things will go back to "normal" eventually.

Fellow GATTers, this post is a lesson in how one bad decision can cause a domino effect of sh1t to happen to you. The sequence of  events spans the last 5 days:


FRIDAY 27th
finding out my the unresearched entry into a business arrangement with a so-called "man of god"
will probably cost me money in the 5-figure range, or at least have it tied up until the World Cup. No car for me again.

SATURDAY 28th
Motherboard for my current gaming PC dies after attempting data recovery on a hard drive for a friend.  Drive was making a beeping sound (yes, BEEPING, not KNOCKING)

SUNDAY 29th
I think Sunday actually went well.

MONDAY 30th
- I was too lasy to go get my box of LAN cable  in Piarco on monday to do a networking job the same day which leads to:

TUEDSAY 31st
The customer harassing me all day so I tell them I'll come Wednesday.

I hijack my friend's dad's car at  6pm to go Piarco, preventing him from going out with his gf so i can get box of cable. Oh was he annoyed (granted his dad gave the ok for me to use car)! Didn't even answer the phone when I returned later that evening.

I got my cable from customer, but forget my flash drive in his computer plus undercharge them due to poor basic addition skills. Geico must've been happy they save $100 that night.

I then decide to surprise a significant other by visiting her becasue she fine I don't call her often. Spring the surprise when I am just 30 mins away from her: she is sick and is unable to accommodate me. Pizza fix that disappointment.

On top of all this, I cant get my other mini PC back from another friend until she buys herself a new Dell. Got the final parts for me resurrection project on it and now i have to wait before I can install...

WEDNESDAY 1st APRIL

I dress casual today with the idea  of going to do neworking job after 3pm when customer calls insisting that I "come now". So I make judgement call at 10am to go giving one teacher notice.

 It backfires. Meeting in me a$$ as I reach back at 11:30am. Get railroaded for:
•   ducking out of school
•   the casual attire I had on today for said networking job
•   a teacher complain that I do not like teachers coming to use lab after school hours
•   a computer stay unfixed too long
•   one time the IT teacher did not come and I was able to convince a dean to take her class to another location for supervision, relieving me of supervision. Apparently that was a bad idea.

This the second such "meeting" in the last 5 weeks, so I am now bound and gagged  and screwed with a "YUP big black veiny P*NIS. No lube, No gloves." to get me act together. *goes off to supervise children*

I more or less bring it on myself, eh, but I'm sharing it with you if for no other reason to amuse and enlighten you not make my mistakes.


It can't be all bad. at least I am not the Form 5 student who just got ZERO for his IT SBA for blatant copying. so bad he didn't even change the name of the student he copy from!

and there is more:
the service providers for some of the school server equipment come to service  dead UPS.

They immediately notice a light on the front of the server is orange (it is supposed to blue) and ask me if I noticed. I honestly never paid mind to it. They discover that it was one of the two redundant PSUs in the server FAILED!!  (it was the case for weeks now) When I look closely, it is an led display that clearly stated the issue with scrolling text.
