I am trying to guage the most reliable, great performing (not necessarily for OCing but moresover running on default timings) and cost effective memory for an upgrade and more so for general knowledge on the forum.
I have dealt with Crucial, Kingston and Corsair to date. All have proven EXCELLENT in terms of reliability and the Corsair XMS is a very decent OCer. Kingston is also excellent if albeit they overhead isn't as good as corsair. And crucial, well when you want memory that will just WORK, they are usually the way to go (provided you run through their memory deterministic questions). But what of OCZ? what of Mushkin, what of any other memory out there that you've used and can vouch for being a 'BEST THING' Vote from the list (sorry I couldn't include other brands as there are only 5 options allowed, and I think these best reflect the enthusiast choices). So vote best of the breed and include the names of others you think should have been there.
Also include your experiences (the good, the bad and the ABJECTLY HORRIBLE) for the benefit of all on the forum. My vote goes to Corsair for lowest latency at low voltages @ PC3200. I am looking for 2x1GB @ 2.5-2.7V with at least 2-3-3-6 which also puts corsair in the running, however I have been eyeing OCZ, Kingston and Patriot as alternatives, any opinion on those other options?
