I know this is an old thread but I did do a search before starting a new iron man thread which would've surely gotten me a spanking lol.

So since the movie is almost upon us I decided to bring this thread back to life I can't wait

I don't go to cinema much but this one is definitely gonna get some of my pesos

went an see it at cinema 8 , it was ok. some nice suprises ,it was a good intro to a series of movies if de studios wish to do more.( hope it get's better

). )

Just came back from MovieTowne and I too thoroughly enjoyed the flick.

Followed very closely to the genesis of ironman in the animated movie of yesteryear though a definite improvement in storyline, enemy and execution.

9/10 idmc.

GLOBE experience made it a winner here...10/10 for the Globe Showing

Dat movie was reallll boss, jus come back from CC8, it was so much on my mind, i was typing I-R-O on my MSN pass word LOL, but Downy play that role reall good, he was in real character there, like Maguire.

This is a great start to the summer movie season. The movie was badass, Robert Downey Jr. was perfect as Tony Stark, the effects were amazing and it was really funny. To answer the comparison to Transformers, I think it is on the same level. Granted, I had almost no previous knowledge of either before the movies (Iron Man only in Capcom vs. games), so I can't compare them to their source material.

in comparison to the source material, i really found it meshed well, got some serious nods to continuity right through (just read the review i posted earlier)

hell this is in the top 3 best comic movies ever, now to await HULK, and do check the newest trailer ...it looks INCREDIBLE....

really felt the comic book vibes..

Not that it really matters (to me anyway) but critics seem to really like Iron Man. Rotten Tomatoes, which averages most major critics' ratings, gives the movie an amazing 94% score. This makes it the highest rated movie of the year so far and the highest rated comic book movie ever. These are the current highest scoring comic book movies, again according to Rotten Tomatoes:

Spider-Man 2 (2004) -- 93 percent
Superman: The Movie (1978) -- 93 percent
Spider-Man (2002) -- 90 percent
