I think this would be EXCELLENT in T&T... well save the fact that in most fast food chains the ppl are slow, mostly unfriendly and seemingly less concerned about the cleanliness of where the food is prepared than our government is about the residents of chatam are about Alcoa... read.
Computer gets top job at fast food joint
Welcome to the machine

A COMPUTER has been appointed manager of a US fast-food restaurant chain. Hyperactive Bob, a kitchen production management computer system from Hyperactive Technologies, is being used by Zaxby's which makes takeaway chicken.
The AI computer system takes orders and gives them to staff working at each restaurant.
It uses robotic vision to count the cars in the parking lot, gathers feedback from employees and collects point-of-sale information in real time.
From a management view it can look at historical data to learn about each restaurant and can work out when each one needs staff and other resources. Employees are told how much of which foods to cook and when the food is ready, they tell the computer.
The whole lot runs on .Net and gathers its data by from sensors and cameras installed around the resturant.
This means that that human staff are just the hands and additional sensors of a machine. We are sure that workers at chicken fast-food restaurants already knew that, but up until now it been a figurative rather than literal reality.
The computer is unlikely to attend any leaving bashes for staff down at the local boozer.
Now in the article it refers to the humans as the extensions... sensors.... you know the parts that move the food from point A to point B, otherwise brainless and thoughtless.... which is kind of the truth (ever been to a certain chicken outlet in Valsayn? you'll get the idea) But if I were to draw a parallel... whats the good of having a very effecient brain if the arms, legs and 1/2 of ur sensors/senses doh work right? Maybe te computer will eventually need therapy as it tries to process why humans HAVE To take 5 mins longer than they REALLY need to when serving their customers...
