i guess the definition of a gamer would be one who spends X amout of time playing games.... and they should fall in the general genre , FPS , RTS , Racing , fighting, sports... i don't think Bejeweled counts.

my confessions ? i never beat the n64 zeldas , haven't owned a console since the Super nintendo , i think halo and half life are overrated but HL>halo all round, esp single player..
   i never beat brood wars ..  : (

Half Life over rated? You must be smoking some serious ultra super skunk. Half Life completely wtfomgouchthatsmyspleenpwns. Dont even get me started about  Episode 1

Now for the "confessions"

I never finished any UT single player campaign except the original UT back in 2001

Never finished quake 3 single player

Only started to play Warcraft 3 for the first time about a month ago

Never owned a console of any kind in my life. Maximum time played on an xbox was about an hour before turning my face in disgust *puts on cricket helmet to be protected from big stones*

I hate controllers. KB&mouse all the way

To Unknown - Man, how you go play stuff like FIFA, NBA, NFS or Mario with a keyboard or mouse? Some things just scream for a gamepad. Yeh, some games benefit from a keyboard/mouse combo like RTS, FPS and turn-based games but others work better with a gamepad. Since I got a wheel, I find it hard to play a racing game without it.

To Empire - You miss out on some boss games. Just a few notables.

N64 - Super Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Goldeneye 007, Super Smash Bros.
Cube - Wind Waker, Super Monkey Ball, Super Smash Bros. Melee
Xbox - Halo, Halo 2, Dead or Alive Ultimate
DC - Virtua Tennis, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Skies of Arcadia

Fifa, nba and mario allout the window for me. Dont touch any of those. NFS on the other hand is VERY playable with a KB and mouse and im sure i can best most control weilders. A wheel for nfs or any other racing though would be boss!!!

I feel I might really like Metal Gear Acid cause I have a thing for card battle games. Magic, Pokemon TCG and Yu-Gi-Oh are always calling to me ... Another confession:

I used to watch CNET Central way back when on USA (I think that was the channel). They had a section where they would focus on games with this guy Desmond Crisis (some serious purple/blue hair). I actually was first exposed to ROM's and emulation on that show when they did a piece on MAME.

I had an unfortunate incident with my mother and my MTG collection a few years back. Suffice it to say that I have been without cards for quite some time. Only recently, I found out about Runes in Long Circular Mall and bought a few pre-constructed decks. I play every now and then with my gf. I taught her and she got hooked on them. She just finds that it is too expensive. So, we play online with Magic Workstation. The only problem is this dam Green Dot that I have ... keep dropping the game when I am about to win ... grumble grumble ...

Unknown I have just one word for you ... GAMECUBE  or is that 2 words? Anyway, I never liked the feel of console controllers and the Xbox has the worst controller I have ever seen in my entire life, but when I played my first gamecube game it just fealt right.

I have even played FPS's on my cube and it is almost as intuative as a keyboard & mouse. Imagine i on a console and running through the whole of Medal of Honour using a handgun to gunbutt man. i beat the game in like 2 days.

Shots in stereo. The AIDS man cometh!

If you talking about the original Xbox controller, I think you are close. The controller S is lot better, IMHO. Worst controller has to be the Atari Jaguar. I have never actually held one but I think that is a good thing because I might not have been able to hold the dam thing for too long. It looked sooooo big and obzucky.
