I'm not surprised to see it's an asrock board... the upgradeable boards have been available down here for quite a while now... the upgrade adapter boards however are a harder find.

I, personally, will do my cpu socket upgrade the old fashioned way: change the whole damn board!!

This is a very nice idea indeed, however there may be a performance hit using this setup as opposed to a true AM2 board.

Like Sax said, i rather change my entire board to achieve an upgrade.

I believe this upgrade card is for a specific intel/amd mobo. A while back I remember seeing a mobo that used a LGA775 socket native and an add in proprietary slot for a AMD A64 processor as the 2ndary. Of course only 1 cpu working at a time but it game flexibility, I guess this is the add in card to support the A64.

This card is exclusive to a paticular Asrock board. They have a special proprietary slot that they use as an interface, hence it can work on no other board.
