I was playing around with mame again recently and fired up kof 2003.

The game is awesome and looks a lot better than I remember.

Kyo, Joe and Terry (can't find Takuma) ftw.

P.S. I want to pick up another 2d fighter. Any recommendations? I like combos and deep tactics. Thinking kofxi for now.

Don't pick up the kof.  Not to hate on what may be a great game but if you want to make the best out of combos, deep tactics SF3s, CvS2 maybe even good ole SSF2T or hyper could do the trick.  I'm saying this because these games actually HAVE following as opposed to becoming an absolute beast in kofxi and having to play maybe 3 people locally.  I can tell you about that.  It Happened to me with SFEX3.

It's funny, because by Orochi is where my love for KOF really sparked. He was the only other gatt member at the time that played the game competitively.

For some reason it never caught on with the masses.

Oh well, why choose when you can play all??

indeed, if it wasnt for orouchi i woulda never pick up kof.

Back in de max days, seeing this man be sooo dutty an totally dominating in the game totally made me wanna play. fostered my love for iori and hate for kyo.

When i wasnt playing xmen versus streets and soul edge version 2 and the last blade 2, i was either playing kof or my eyes glued to oro playin some kof.
