is impossible to say that it was jack fault we loss......JACK saw that the ball was goin outside an he had a late reaction wen sancho touched the ball.....Is really a shame that Shaka cudnt play but I wud say that Kelvin played hard but cud not come up to standard in the game.....Birchall,YORKE,LATAS,CARLOS,WHITLEY an Tallman play good......WE CUDDA GET D WIN IF GLEN DIDNT GET A injury(SAD SAD).........

Was not the best performance....If we had play like we play against Sweden we wudda hit dem bout 10

I think we can all agree Latas shoulda been in there since the beginning of the game. Edwards get on rell badd too. We were more attacking although not as consistent as our previous games

after watching 3 Trinidad and Tobago games my conclusion is this:

1. First and foremost. for a first time attempt, we do damn good considering poeple were expecting us to get drub 8-0 all the way
Ijes hop Jack and de gov't ent eff it up for the 2010 campaign...

2. Beenhakker's faith in Stern John should have ended at teh world cup... he was proabaly the only guy that gain all the offsides called against us for those 3 games... bench his backside till he learn to position himself.

3. Kelvin Jack do very well against paraguay but he too ecentric... (I am a keeper and I does lime on de half line when my tem wins a corner) I think he could have gotten to that deflection based on watching the replays. But I also have to consider that the Paraguay #13 was running in last post.. it is possible that even if sancho had missed the ball altogether, Paraguay could have sneaked in the goal. Also how del ARSE he let a shot at the bottom of near post get under him and score?? He was lucky the asst. ref erroneously wave for hand ball against Paraguay. the score should have been 3-0.

3. with all the cries that Latapy should have been brought on much sooner int eh game - and possibly in the two previous games - at age 37 he can't keep up with the pace for too long..maybe a full half at best... on top of that he is a smoker. (though Roga Milla did damn good at age 40 in the 1990 cup) But his injection did wonders to our game though.. I loved it.

4. We definitely need some fresh younger blood for the future. We had the oldest team there. \

5. We have to get our attack in better shape... too many chances not to score against paraguay.

but all in all Well done, Soca Warriors
God is dead.

Really hate to say I told you so, but....

There were a few people like myself who doubted heavily that we'd make it this far, because we're seeing a lot to be desired.

And, personally, I'd still say that was true, because, despite defending well against the opposition, we still dropped the ball way too many times, and had quite a few close calls. Sweden failed to capitalise on that, but if we continue on the same path, what's to say some other team wouldn't?

And now, because of our victory, we have more confidence, yes, but we're being a bit too cocky now.
We may have been the underdogs in the match against Sweden, and we did win out on points, yes, but it's a tad too early to start going 'TIME TO OWN ALL THESE NOOBS' because we are still not championship material.

I TOLD YOU SO.

Trinidad, in my opinion, played serious CRAP in the game against Paraguay.
No, I'm not going to sugarcoat it. Ever since that no good cheating Crotch robbed us of that first goal, the Soca Warriors' performance has diminished quite a bit, and you could see that from the first round against Paraguay. Also, let me just point out a few things I observed during the match:

- Two players tripped over passing the ball...TWICE. Do the Soca Warriors even tie thier freaking laces? I mean, come ON. Even I'm not that clumsy.

- Latapy, yes, Latapy, passed the ball TWICE to Paraguay. And not via interception, either. He freaking PASSED the ball to Paraguay. This became painfully so when he passed the ball the second time WHEN THERE WERE NO TRINI PLAYERS TO PASS TO, THERE WERE ONLY PARAGUAY PEOPLE THERE.

- Our own dude scored for the other team. Need I say more. Yeah, I know. The sun was in his eyes.

But, I have to give credit where credit is due. Trinidad did get us close to the World Cup, closer than we've ever been in years, and they earned some serious respect from me when they defended to the death against Sweden. However, this game should definitely serve as a reminder that we still have quite a few weaknesses with our team, and it only took one action from an unscrupulous player to throw the team off. No, I don't care what you say, Trinidad's performance faltered after that one moment. Check the replays if you want.

Now, some may wonder why I was, and am still being so harsh on T&T.
Some have even said 'Buh NEO, you talking real s**t! T&T go mash them up!"
It's because I care. Yup. Funny way of showing it, I know, but hey. Trinidad's not going to do any better by constantly showering them with praise you know. It's when we point out where they can improve so they actually do better next time. Believe it or not, saying 'OMG! T AND T GO MASH THEM UP! ALLYUH DOING PERFECT!' is just as bad as saying 'T&T DOING DOTISHNESS!', because exactly in what way are they doing perfect? And if they are, then why did we lose in a few games? Isn't there room for improvement?

I'm also what you may call a realist, at times.
You see, I'm not the kind of person to b******t around matters. Sometimes, I tell people just the way it IS. Trinidad was being over-defensive? I said that. Latapy tossed the passes? Yep. Just said that too. I even said that I was impressed with the defense against Sweden, because it worked well. In other words, I see awesomeness, I'll give credit where it's due. Likewise, I see something I don't like, I'm going to tell you like it is. Pretending like everything's a-okay and nothing can be improved upon makes you a FREAKING LIAR, LIAR, PANTS ON FIRE. You're just screwing yourself, and the team, because they don't know what could make them champions all along.

On the topic of bandwagons now....just for the record...I'm more of an anti-bandwagon person.
Some of you may already have sensed this from my adamant refusal to dive into the whole Naruto thing. Just to let you know....I'm not going to go all wazoo just because T&T makes an entrance into the World Cup. When they reach the finals or win, well yeah, sure....it'd be untrinidadian of me not to be happy then. Going all aggro when they haven't even made it into the games that count, not to mention the fact that I'm seeing a lot of flaws in their game MAKES NO SENSE. Truth be told, I wasn't really feeling to watch that game yesterday, because I know England already deflated the morale of T&T with that cheating bastard, Crouch. The 2-0 result? No surprise to me, because our performance reflected the deflation, and our fan in Germany felt that in the 2nd half as well when 1-0 was made against us. We had one heck of a domino effect right there.

So now, where does that leave us?
Well, the Soca Warriors are going home, and I'm sure they're going to ponder what they did right and what they did wrong, and try a lot harder next time. Hey, you make it far this time around, you're definitely going to try to capitalise on that next time....it's basic human nature.

And, at long LAST, all of the fanatics who constantly pester my a$$ with constant 'OMGTANDTGOMASHTHEMUP!', 'CAUSE I'M A SOOOOOCAWARRIOR!', 'IWEARINGREDJOCKEYSHORTSONMEHBALLSFOR THE WARRIORS!!!11'
can finally do what I wished they would do since the cup started...

TO SHUT THE HELL UP.

...cause seriously, if you don't have a healthy appreciation of the game, I don't want to freaking hear yuh. We can't even discuss the game like people, because you'd be all like 'I DOH CARE! THE SOCA WARRIORS GOH WIN!' every single time I suggest that Trinidad could do better if they do X and not do Y. So SHUT UP, you freaks. Of course, that doesn't apply to the reasonable fans that have a heartfelt commitment to the team....those people, I salute. You guys have stuck it through to the team through good times and bad, and are not one of the many, MANY hypocrites and bandwagon hoppers that many of us had to endure.

To the Soca Warriors, I wish you the best, and better luck next time.

Nice rant Crixx.. make some good, harsh points

Zidane? For france next game he is a no show due to 2 yellow cards in the first 2 games... I curious to see how France will get out of their current mess against Togo...  They must beat togo and hope the Swiss and Korea do not draw. a Korea-Swiss draw + France win go mean 3 teams on 5 points.... oh the horror of going home on goal difrence!!

...-Shaka could play cuz he was suspended.1yellow each in the sweden and England games......
...-It wud've been hard for jack to save the goal because the striker bounced the ball off the ground
...-Zidane is  33 LAtas is 37....BIG diffenrence....Beenhacker said himself that LAtas cudnt play the full 90mins

One thing im upset about is that Latas didnt come on in the second half of the England game..He cud have contributed greatly to that game
-----We didnt go to the world cup to win it ,we went to gain experience..Thats exactly wat we did------

Anyone know wat goin on for the return of the players ?????  Last time we get a holiday for the motorcade from the airport .....

By the way...Trinidad is the only people sad or vex or watever negative feeling there is for Trinidad eh. Talk to my cousin in Germany, they want to know WTA wrong with we, is no depression, is no loss....Everyone only talking about the 3 matches before the world cup...nobody thought we was going farther....and everyone thought we woulda have 10 goals in we tail by now....First time in the world cup....we did well...and with HUGE support. German, Itallian, Netherland and Argentinian fans were in the stadium that day with Red While and Black on their face...and none of them regret it.
I am proud of them boys. If i was in Trinidad i woulda find my @ss in the airport when they came home to congratulate them.....i sure as h3ll hope some of alyuh do this.
and i want to know...who here does watch League football and follow it and actually KNOW sh!t happens in football....ALL D TIME..and who here just using logic to try and figure out strategy in a sport because "is worldcup"?

Crixx does have some good points in his argument...and you SAW the REAL supporters after the England match. Notice how everything just died down after that...the ONLY men (including myself) i saw REALLY holding strain were the ones who follow the team through their qualifying....through their road to the worldcup. This was a MOMENTOUS occasion..weather we played bad or good...DREAD....yuh know how LONG it take to reach here!! Hommuch people knew who Cornel Glen, Brent Sancho, Carlos Edwards (to name a few) REALLY were before this Soca Warriors trend take hold. Anyway...alyuh ride the ride and wave yuh flag like is carnival.

The matches were not a "LIME" dread, is not a "GAME" dread....the matches were a momentous occasion for our country and team. When that match start me and fellow supporters of our team over the years were not watching each other and talking, we not waiting to go get a drink, hell we eh even want to PEE self....we doh know ANYTHING else except the match. For me the time for those 3 matches FLY....eyes on the TV alone.

Everyone is coach in hind sight....the woulda coulda shoulda crew. They came, they played the best that they saw fit....they TRIED their best. We not embarrased, we not sad. We walk into that worldcup with NOTHING....and come out with SOMETHING....we got recognition and RESPECT. ALL of which this team deserves.

more than 3 billion people watch the biggest sport in the world....they watching US!!....is only the friggin States where I am that living in their own man made bubble and bawling Cardinalls vs somethingortheother......you hadda be JOKING- Baseball? Basketball?NAscar? HANDball (which i call US Footbal)- stewps

the SAME people that playing coach now go shut up JUST now....when the "Soca Warriors return" fever gorn. Homuch of alyuh STILL following the team....wondering where they going now...HOMMUCH PEOPLE CARE if Cornell Glen is OK? or even WANT to find out? - stewps.....alyuh waggonists is JOKERS yes.
