 there are also many non Bnet servers  you can get onto with a gateway editor if you have the updated ORIGINAL install of Frozen Throne... Plus there is this  free service called GG , google it..

It depends on which Battlenet you are talking about.

The official Battlenet requires a legit copy of the game (highly recommended)

Alternatively, there is EuroBattlenet. www.eurobattle.net

This is a massive PVPGN server  (4000 - 7000 gamers online) that does not require a legit copy of the game.

Thirdly there is Hamachi (a free VPN software that allows you to play games online with your friends as though you all were on the same LAN)

If you have a bunch of partners with DSL, Hamachi would do the trick for playing amongst yourselves.

baego the problem with euro..
is that you get kick alot if is not u hostin the game
