Watched the Slovenia-TT game today.

Was very disspointed.

Trinidad & Tobago were given another World Cup wake-up call when they were beaten 3-1 by Slovenia on Wednesday in a warm-up match.

Milijove Novakovic scored a hat-trick for Slovenia who went to the last World Cup but did not qualify for this year's tournament in Germany.

Both of Novakovic's early goals came after defensive blunders from the Caribbean side.

The visitors got themselves back into the match when Chris Birchall pulled them back into the match with a goal.

Novakovic then made it 3-1 with 14 minutes to play after some hesitant defending from T&T whose goalkeeper Shaka Hislop fumbled a shot.

Evans Wise got a late runout for T&T on the day he was called into the squad as a late replacement for Silvio Spann who has been forced out with injury.

Trinidad never look so sloppy!!  We were 2-0 down after 16 minutes.
Imagine we had Diwght Yorke playing as a stopper!!
Birchall as usual had another wonder strike to score the lone one goal for us.
Shaka save a shot but was too slow to recover to stop the rebound for the 3rd goal

in conclusion, if THAT was a warm-up game, I am very concerned for the real thing on the 10,15, and 20 June!!

well boy, from all the games that they played so far, you could see that the defense lacking . all the defenders does go after the ball and have no one backing up. so yuh must expect all the goals.

righ now the team just experimenting to see what working best for them, and right now, is not about scoring goals and playing hard, they can't afford to get injured. when world cup come round, yuh will see i big difference in play, i HOPE.

Not surprising at all, somehow I think most people think that because trinidad make the world cup (and barely @ that), that trinidad gonna mysteriously get better all of a sudden. Seriously we is trinis and it a well known fact that as trinis we ( we is used loosely in this case) lack focus, what makes allyuh think trinidad team gonna do otherwise.

If that's the performance the Soca Warriors are going to be putting forward for the World Cup, they're as good as doomed. They'd BETTER buck up before the real games, because their gameplay during the warm-ups all kinds of STINKS.

I wud say that the recent performance in the last two games were quite dissapointing but we hav to remember that they were only warm-up matches so dont expect much.....Beenhacker was smoking a cigar on d bench....dat was a bit humorous.............

na u shudnt get diheartened, d coach tryin to see wat startin line up is best to use, d real game to watch go be d czech game, i sure he go use he real startin 11 and system, dats why dey are warm up games u kno,to try out tings

I don't expect mircles but that's still bad. But better to see the real weaknesses now then in the real deal matches. The defense is a mess... and that's being polite any/all goals scored on us has been as a result of POOR defending. 1 might argue that's the reason for all goals... not quite. Our defense lacks coordination, they're slow to react, poor anticipation and is almost as if they just dere to flams and say I was dere. Coach need to tell dem boys pull up dey socks or else they'll get a 'drop the soap' type cut arse.

is what they deserve after that abysmal preformance in defence. the manager can only be blamed so much, but we pass horribly, defend badly when andrrews not playin, stern isnt useful other than loafin like a kiss baker, I just doh know what else to say bout them.

against who..martinque monsterrat. and how old he is, 30 sumn. ronaldo is only 28 and he scores against GOOD teams and GOOD keepers thats why he is one of the BEST and Stern John is in Championship strugglin...have no doubtin he cud score, but d problem is he cannot contribute to an overall team performance cus all he wanna do is shoot, and even den he missin sometimes. he score plenty goals yes but then again when someone playin like how he playin u bound to. do not compare the 2, just dont you will just lose that battle hands down.

listen i love trinidad but i want them to try harder. i get so pissed when i see them playing like that. u ever honestly see a WC squad pass so bad during a game? i get mad when we dont perform to the best of our ability, the players rush their plays tryin to be 'star boys'. if they would keep their heads our better qualities would show...
