That fits in perfectly with Cyclop's boyscout character. Dedication to the cause and dedication to his woman.

I must admit that he is one of my favourite X-Men. That said I was impressed by the guys of the director to have him killed off so quickly. Likewise Xavier, even  though he returned in some form.

Yeah Shogun, I catch your drift and it is a strong drift but for all the reasons others here have already said...it still turned out to be a good movie. Things could have been worse. They could have dragged us along by the testicles for 100 X-Men movies with a finale in the year 2020 a la Naruto.

If i had my way, x-men 3 would have totally been about apocolypse, featuring angel as the new x man and some what central to the story line. would have been good with the whole horseman of death arc, pretty simple. THEN make the next movie focused on the dark phoenix.

anyways i dun talk. we all have different feelings on this and i don't think they will be changed.

not so much to change the other person's point of view, but to discuss the movie and share ideas/perspectives.

true at their still being potential for spinoffs and such. Either way an "ending" never stopped Hollywood before. They remake superman, batman, hulk, King Kong and "insert remade movie here"

They making a Wolverine, Magneto, a movie on the children, and a movie on Emma Frost. I read that there was a X4 confirmed by Fox but that's actually not the case yet. But the spinoffs all seem to be confirmed.

I thought the movie was awesome, depsite all the waverings in the adaptation, it made for a fun summer movie. Most of the movie-going population will have no idea how badly some would say they wrecked the characters. I mean how would you juggle all those characters in a two-hour film.

Personally i think the writters of the comic version scripts are quite talented so maybe they should try doing a rendition of the "rea;" story that we all know......btw it was cool but it needed some more characters like Gambit and Mystique died / was out too early...

I saw this finnally last nite.
Decided i would get a nice sleep before posting..
um, i never cuss so much in a cinema before.


I mean, jean grey is my all time favourite marvel character, so when the movie opens and the first thing yu see is the nice little culvert
and then yu see in the corner of yur eye, the mail box saying grey.
I nearly lost my mind, make real noise and everyone around was like wtf? is just a mailbox and then the awesomeness of jean begins.

Iam upset they didnt include the REASON why jean's parents contacted the xavier institute in the first place. The murder of her mutant best friend (who could control water) by some stupid mutant haters and the fact that jean expereinced the pain of her friend dying through her empathy, thus sending her slightly mad and releasing tremendous amounts of her power.


After the beginning of the movie, a spiraling assault of suckage began.
THe only two things that i will give this movie props for, are that, they allowed, for the first time, people to see the extent of jeans power in animated form, in the comic we know, but in the cartoons and tthe movies before, she was a this weak damsel in this distress,steups.

THe second thing i give them props for, is the fact that we get to see a truly awesome spread of heroes, it was like omg thats so and so, and thats that person, and look over there thas this person, i was going mad identifying people.

they over played wolverines healing factor. He doesnt heal that quickly with the adamantium in him, as everyone knows.

i mean i could point out a zilliiionnnn stupid inconsistancies and annoying plot changes that just had me like steupssssssssssssssss whole movie.

But what i wanna talk bout, is the POSSIBILITIES that could be ignited by just that 30 second ending, oh yeah and the fact that magneto is getting back his powers... cant beat the magnetosphere can yu, lol.

Anyways, xavier transferring into the other body, being tended to by moira omg!!
Could we be seeing a legion in the near future???
Secondly, the fact that they didnt REALLY kill xavier may hopefully mean that they didnt really kill scott and jean either!

Like how in the original story line, when they thought that jean was really dead but it was really the clone of jean created by phoenix, called madelyn pryor. So jean could be alive as the true phoenix, still in the lake(which should be ny city habour but whatever) and scott... unfortunately could have been transported either into a pocket universe or into the future sorta along the original story line.


We MAY have alot to look forward to if the directors and writers were actually being creative.

Is it just me...but anyone else notice that the cameo of kitty pride in the second movie...is not the same person in X3?

Secondly.... How was it Leech was playing game....isnt his powers supposed to shut down ALL energy fields? Sight...its just so sad..

IMO, if they were to do any storyline in the marvel universe, and actually stick to it and get it right, it would have to be the "House of M" saga, they dont need ALL the storylines....but the general one. It would be soo cool to see so many mutants at the same time!

1. Yes. In every movie, a different actress has played Kitty Pryde.

2. Mutant powers, man. Mutant powers. I believe a context it was defined by was 'mutant energy signatures', so I could see the confusion there.

3. Good idea, but bad timing. To have House of M, you need to have Scarlet Witch and the Avengers involved, as well as a host of other pivotal characters, and that might be introducing too many characters too soon and at the possible risk of having the 'Annihilation' effect (characters just being in the movie for the sake of being there.) Way too soon in the franchise to think about that.

Well...i watched it again..and yea they said that in the movie, but Leach's powers stop ALL energy fields arround him...atleast tahts what i remember...but oh well...

And as for the house of m, I honestly dont expect to see that onscreen...atleast not anytime soon at all! All I was saying was that it would infact be kinda cool to see...even if its just animated....
