im hosting up some servers aite legit only...
yea if i can get a crack up thatd be cool but these are the games in mind

cod2
ut2k4
quake4

im mainly pushing @ the quake 4 and it can hold max 12 users online private gaming

thanks to nuclear fallout

what are your suggestions?
is there a local way ..will ppl play q4 and future quake wars?
also this server will be monitored for online tourneys in our chance to get a shot @ wcg online mayhem so gg  ..
so give out opinions im all ears

Well i was going to suggest using Hamachi seeing how great it works for this sort of thing, but since you talking about getting notices for online tourneys that's out of the question.

well once i can do it for local gaming explain it i can allows bump up two.

the main purpose of the real server is to have international teams invited for face offs in future.

but if i can get a max server froma  local down here that would be sweet not to expensive there is a limit to how much i can shell otu and  also i need feed back so its gonna be awhile to research this crap

With Hamachi, any machine can act as a server. It has a small footprint and doesnt take much resources at all. There's no need to configure anything either. Whoever is the nerver just need to choose a user name and password and give out this info to the people who want to sweat who will just log in and join the server. After that, multiplayer over the internet is exactly like lan multiplayer.

If this sort of thing is good enough for what u looking for, then there's no need for a server and therefore no startup costs.

and what is the advantage of the server over hamachi for the international guys??

They get a better ping while you salt? lol

Then your team proceeds to get WTFOMGPWNed and you get to either

A) take your cut tail gracefully and admit that the international team was too much awesome for your rag tag bunch of mcs to handle.

or

Blame the beating on server lag.

As for that bargain bin comment....I spent all my dukats on a brand new 7900 GT so I'm counting on you to sponsor me that bargain binned Quake 4.

Should be no probs since I just saved you $27 a month on a server. lol

   if BW is a problem why don't we talk TSTT into giving someone  a T1 as a promotional event thing for game server?
    trinidad is really backward when it comes to bandwidth honestly....
   omg imagine the ping advantage if foreigners had to play on our local server? Overnight trinidad teams would become no. 1 in the world thanks to gold old TSTT quality !
