There is also an application called Nero Vision which comes with the full version of Nero. It allows one to burn ordinary avi/mpg files into dvd video format which can be played back in standalone dvd players.

I don't recommend using nero because the length of your video file will be an issue. Nero doesn't do automatic compression to dvd. Also the menu templates suck. For real DVD control you need Ulead DVD Studio. It is hands down one of the best and most user friendly apps for DVD production. I swear by it. Check it out yourself online and see what you can do with it.

If you need a copy just PM me and I will organise it for you.

Nero Vision 4 comes with Nero 7. I don't know if they have OEM versions of Nero 7 with vidion in it, but its definately in the retail version. Hmmm Ulead? If it's as good as you say, then its definately worth a try.

AIDS what about DVD Movie factory? That is about the same thing? Not seeing dvd studio available. I know some Ulead software comes OEM with burners/roms sometimes but cant remember exactly which one.

Ulead allows you complete customization of professional looking DVDs. It is a retail release but I will have to check which version I have at home.
