anybody else got probs using Partition magic 8 on SATA HD?

Partition magic 8 is a program i come to rely on for making quick (no reformat necessary) changes to partiton size while in Windows (XP)

I've had no problems. But Recently i've made the complete switch to SATA (version 1) and now The program does not apply Changes.....It doesn't stick or render my system unstable in anyway but restarts and no changes were made...

Online has some reports of Problems but no solutions.

Can anyone show me a good article on resolving this problem

Try the newer version 9 i think its out now. I've never tried it, but its worth a try. I also think Symantec bought it over so who knows how much they screwed it up.

PQ Magic 8 works fine with my 200GB WD SATA drive.... and just about every drive when i used it

The one occasion it did fail to work it was becasue my drive develop bad sectors... it took SpinRite to discover this. After that PQ8 worked fine. and this was within the last 2 weeks.

Run a check forbad sectors just to be safe. yuh never know
