That file is 19,252 KB...as opposed to the game which is in the region of 4GB

btw, the gamespot scores are in...9.3 for the PC and 9.6 on the Xbox 360...apparently there's some unlockable content on the 360 version...

Note that the game requires the following for Absolute Minimum:
2ghz P4 or Athlon 2000
512mb DDR
5 gigs free hard drive space
128mb Radeon 9500 and up ( NEEDS a DX9 card to run)
Geforce 6200 and up

FX cards are reported to run it at 10-15fps on any setting , even 5900 ultras

Recommended
3.2ghz P4, Athlon 3200
1024mb DDR
256mb X800 or 6800 (i'm hoping a 6600gt will cut it) .

1 day to go.. i'll post a performance evaluation for people without beastly rigs .

a 6600gt doesn't cut it as much as i'd hoped , i plan to o/c a little once i dust out my system.... Beautiful graphics nonetheless , great gameplay ,great storyline.

i went out ,sold my kidney , bought the game..and then played it ...........i feel no remorse for the kidney....oblivion is my new kidney..

one problem tho..im runnin this game on bear minimum ..as it almost everyting set to low , an it still lookin dam good , d only real loadin problem i gettin is sometimes outdoors on mi horsie that ah sprang.

apart from a few stutters here and dere , dis game so damn hot it takin gloves to hold the mouse.

Human battlemage, Imperial race , building him as a pure mage /melee fighter.. tried to kill a bandit with bow and arrow.. the man eat 20 arrows before i decide to take him down with magic ... but normally 2-3 good slashes kills most enemies . My archery skill low by default so i selling my bow and arrow ...
I did a quest where i got attacked by vampires and i contracted their disease , after 4 days i started exibiting symptoms of vampirism.. every time you sleep you are awoken with a dream and stronger vampiric powers, right now if i go out into the sun i loose 1 hp every few seconds and have a 25% weakness to fire... Its survivable once it doesn't get so bad that i can't go out in the day at all... else i'll be in trouble seeing as some things can only be done in the daytime .
There is a quest to find a cure , but i'll stay a vamp for awhile to see how cool it is, only danger is bieng kiled by.. sun.. fire.. or vamp hunters..

Game is simply amazing how it reacts to your actions , right now i'm the '' Hero of Kvatch'' for doing quests there, my brother started the game as a female elf , and the male elf in the other jail cell started sweet talking him.. was disturbing but funny .

The vampirism will get progressively worse, shopkeepers wont want to speak to you and the sun will start to hurt bad...

If you need help with a quest, you can check the link below...I haven't checked it myself, but I understand there's tons of spoilers inside, so use your discretion.

yeah, 6600GT isn't up to the task.

I tried it on a x1600 and it detected as "high", the game looked beautiful, but still crawled.

I really think an X800 / 6800 Ultra and up is required to enjoy both beauty and smooth gameplay.

The good thing is that since the game is an RPG, you can tolerate poor frames much more so than say a twitchy FPS like Quake or FEAR.

from what ive read tho, vampirism will make you one buff mother..... but it has alot of draw backs..eg no one will deal with you , sunlight whoops your ass....and you cant eat garlic bread no more.

i found out more about vampirism , if i feed once every 24 hours i will stay at level 1 vampirism , get only minimal bonuses to stats but be able to go out into the sun etc. with no problem .. Very cool, i have a ring of permanent fire shield so i don't worry about the extra fire damage .
X1600xt is no faster than a 6600gt , it has 12 shader units but 4 texturing units ,so while it will shade faster ,it will apply textures half as fast as the 8 pixel shader / 8 texture units of the 6600 gt . Game needs a 7600GT , 6800 ultra or x800 XT to really shine .
Once again.. SELL YUH DAMN KIDNEY!

lol ... i feel so bad for running such a beautiful game on the lowest possible settings...

Im playin what i call a redmage.... basically the spellsword class with alchemy. Just finished closin the gate in kvatch and i did most of the arena....only lvl 5 so far.

Doin one of the arena quests i almost got vamprism from some ol dead man tha bust out an start tuh attack meh.....i told me i contracted pyrofelio something something....thank god for the reload button.
The arena is some good cash too , i up to like 4000. Im plannin on joining the fighter guild or dark brotherhood next....which ever comes first.

Im plannin on doin some sidequests before i go on to the main quest...oblivion planes are scary.....

wha level alyuh fellas reach , an whey you get a ring ah permanant fire shield?? and trini... blade go come fuh yuh.
