OK Shameless plug for IBN Teck Talk on Channel 8 (Islamic Broadcast Network)
I invite all GATT members to tune in to Trinidad's First local Live call in Technology show.
It on Mondays @ 6:00pm (i know people stuck in traffic or punging games at this time)
I would love to hear your calls (I'm one of the presenters
Any feedback on this thread would be welcomed.
I also may wish to do a gaming special......so i may need to contact GATT in the near future.
Also i really need to start some serious LAN gaming......Quake 3 Arena, Warcraft & DOTA being my first choices of course.

OF course i'll send a digitized copy (DVD) one time as i really want to visit your headquaters.
When is a convenient time to come in? Ahem when all the quake 3 arena men sweating?
I'm sorry about the time but all presenters are volunteers...no salaries!! so we had to take whatever time we could get!
As for reruns i ran it by the Program director but the Program schedule is booked solid!
Anyway i glad allyuh used to watch Tech TV.....we goh try we best to emulate!! (MAME ROCKS!!)

Lol @ mame
A good time to show up would be, oddly enuff, after 6 in the afternoon, baego and I are usually there at that time.
As for quake 3... uhh... hmmm
BUTTTT yu wouldddd be in luck with the dota
Thats our daily dinner menu, dota, dota, then some more dota.
If youd like, we could sweat anything, buh if yu just happen to bounce in, most likely it would be dota we playin... or some lineage 2 lol.

Maybe you should do a little IPTV thing. put the old episodes up on the net available from the site. better yet, you could put it out as a vidcast, and viewers in and out Trinidad could look at it. Put ads in it and you could charge extra for those ads cuz of the wider audience. Plus I'd be able to see it.

Yeah, good advice.
When crixx told me about it I immediately thought a podcast would be a great way to get gamers like us to catch the show. TV isn't exactly #1 on our entertainment agenda, especially at 6PM.
If bandwidth is an issue, you can go torrent (shudders)
How long is it? 30mins? 60 mins?
Looking forward to that visit at GATT HQ. Quake 3 is a bit long in the tooth. Not played much anymore, though I am a great fan and would definitely give you a run in DM17 all the same. lol
Not even Quake4 is played much.
All is not lost for FPS though. You can rest assured that you will be schooled in FEAR. It has a frenetic pace and gritty feel, similar to quake though not as SCI-FI heavy. More realistic ballistic weapons with some melee thrown in for good measure.
A great FPS romp all the same.
Highly recommended.

And then there's also putting the show out live streaming. Basically find every way you can push it through to us. That way you can take calls over skype and gizmo from people all around the world. if you wanted.

Well ask them to keep a rerun in mind if and when something does open up. Most folks never called in to Tech TV's call for help, but I sure know I learned a lot just from watching all them re-runs.

Great feedback people!!
I realise the show has a steadily growing following but we can offer so much more given that the tech community (which i consider members of GATT to be) supports us.
The Show is Property of IBN therefore any rebrodcasts, podcasts or hosed shows need to be discussed with management.
But being the co creator/writer & Presenter i'm sure we can facilitate those who cannot see the show.
Oh it's an hour long show by the way.
I also have a question... Where exactly should i meet with you all? I'm not to sure where the head office is located.
Also What version of DOTA you all play? I only really play DOTA Allstars AI maps and not big game hunters & others.
Oh i owe quake 3 arena much in my development as a LAN gamer. Years of Quake! So i would have liked to see other players because i know allyuh have skills
Anyway Warcraft 3 & DOTA are also my favs so i'm looking forward to sweat. What kind of Fees i'll have to pay? I'm currently looking for a job so i don't have the disposable income!
The best thing would be to give GATT complimentary DVD's (14 episodes...hmm we outdo starwars dred!:). My TS-shitty conection has always been 50 hour dialup....i can't wait to work and get DSL!!

you ent want people comparing you to anythign on G4.
Nothing can come close to the pure bollocks that is G4. It takes a level dedication unheard of to reach such lows.
Also check
www.dl.tv
for a great example of a good iptvshow. It's basically Patrick Norton from TSS doing the show over. Typical tech show format. They push it out on every possible format as a podcast, with a flash player, live streaming, audio version.

I Miss Leo & Patrick.....Now that was True Educational Innovative TV!!
I just Watch G4 now To see XPLAY (again part of the old line up!!)
I really don't understand Some of the management practices of G4...why kill off the Tech Part of the programming when 90% of your viewers loved The Screensavers & Call For Help.
Iz the same thing with Jordan & the Bulls.......It was just wrong!!
PS. I training in some DOTA.....Will stop by to receive meh licks soon!!

just caught a piece of the show ( have to leave now)
but good work...... i saw you mentioned open office.. perhaps you could continue to feature a piece of freeware each episode, that deals with the topic you focussin on that day.. ( that is, if this isn't already part of your plan)
i.e. if you doin graphics stuff, mention GIMP
photo management , Picasa.. etc
people always think that pirating software is the only choice, and your program is a good medium to show them that there are quite capable alternatives
( esp. if they are newbies .. teach them while dey young..lol)
good work, and hope to see some more of it
the podcast is a great idea, and i second it..
if you a fan of the old techtv, you should head to
twit.tv
and
revision3.com
lots of great content( audio and video) every week from Leo, Patrick, Kevin etc

And linux & Open-Source too. maybe even a linux/open source weekly feature? There's such little knowledge about it, it'll make a steady source of content.
